If Emil gets through Sunday, he will definitely be at Ipswich.

Emil is a man of integrity and commitment.

Him and Laguta are cut from the same cloth.

As by magic up pops the forum clown for another wind up

I feel for Ipswich, what could have gone wrong has and they are left with nothing. They will get beaten at home again.

As has been said before, injuries are part and parcel of this dangerous sport. Yes, Ipswich have been unlucky, but they chose to build their team top heavy (let’s face it there were a lot of smug Witches fans at the start of the season) and that’s a big risk when the best two riders in the league are missing. To be fair, the Ipswich management have handled this very well in the media, particularly when you consider the setbacks with other riders lower down the order.

Yes injuries are part of the sport but to get so many at this critical time of year is awful and very unlucky, it would be like sheffield losing Jack Holder or Belle Vue Bewley, these riders are irreplaceable and then apparently not being allowed to use Lindgren by his polish club is crazy. To get a draw tonight was an amazing achievement, Rew was the star, King did well considering he was riding with an injury from last night and Dan Thompson was good too but it was a shame that a cup final has to be so one sided.

Emils injury was a sliding door moment for sure, had he maybe sat back and settled for the 2nd place instead of trying to overtake Jack Holder he would in all probability not been injured, Ipswich would have lost the meeting or drawn it? I cant recall now and playoffs and cup finals might have been very different!

Sayfutdinov was going for the win which would have given Ipswich their second win at Sheffield this season. He’s better than Holder, a racer that wouldn’t accept “sitting back” in any way shape or form.

for sure but.........

Monday's line-up looks solid for the Witches and confident all 7 will give it their best - Think we could take the home leg, but the Lions have riders that go really well at Foxhall... I know it's unlikely, but if Ipswich get through to the final, then assume that Emil is available (if fit) as Polish playoff final is 22nd Sept - Or have I got that wrong?

Just hope for Ipswich’s sake that Torun don’t put their foot down and instruct Emil not to ride next week. Know they pay the huge wages and all that but Ipswich deserve to be able to put out their strongest team and not get railed roaded by another league.
