Not only missing the top 2, but also the injury replacement for one of the top 2 !! Absolutely not.

How long have Ipswich had to replace Doyle?

Bash
The problem is because Sheffield chopped and changed guests for both legs the rules have been clamped down on so there is a limited number of guests available. Also this was meant to be a free week for the cup final only but because of King's Lynn over running with their fixtures it has reduced the guests available even more. Ipswich could've tried to get some Leicester riders like Fricke, Lawson, Douglas, Masters & Becker to guest as Ipswich knocked them out in the first round and not the semi-finals. A one side final like this does nothing for the sport. Expect a similar score to the first leg tonight.

With the hold Poland have over riders not a lot to choose from as other teams have found out. If Doyle's injury had happened a week earlier maybe we could have beaten Birmingham to get Freddie
Odds On
why cant some people just get their head around that losing Doyle and Emil IS irreplaceable?....and as the late Sinead once said "nothing compares". Some(not all) Sheffield fans cannot even win with a slight bit of dignity and class, you got lucky with racing against a very unlucky opposing finalist, its sport it happens. The final could of been a cracker with both teams at full strength.

Roger Jacobs
1 hour ago, The Third Man said: How long have Ipswich had to replace Doyle? Amazingly, they just about managed without Doyle, and (as we now know) the Witches thought they'd have Lindgren for the big matches. However, it was the injury to Sayfutdinov which kiboshed the season, with any chance of finding any replacement scuppered by the transfer window - which takes no account of riders missing the remaining fixtures due to injury. That is thanks to BV's use of poorly written Regulations, and the BSPA/L's and SCB's knee-jerk reaction to prevent changes from happening - even though they know it has a serious impact on the play-offs, and makes a mockery of Phil Morris's more recent involvement and the need for "commercially based decisions". How can Ipswich advertise the Play-offs as a worthwhile event?

I'm keeping fingers crossed that Emil gets a say in the decision and we see him in the UK fir the playoffs.
Roger Jacobs
20 minutes ago, The Third Man said: Not my job, but KL found Kvech That wasn't as a replacement for Musielak, that was an attempt to bolster a struggling team. There was no guarantee Kvech would settle - although having KL as his home track probably helped. It would be interesting to know how long KL were talking to him and arranging a deal (fixture list & travel, machinery, mechanics, transport, sponsorship, work permit), before he was finally signed. Apart from what Louis has said about approaching some riders, and the difficulties of arranging things when their seasons are already organised, there hasn't been any information about the actual riders, e.g. would they have taken a risk on Huckenbeck or such like? As usual with speedway, fans are left with speculation and rumour. Edited September 5 by Roger Jacobs

When many of the so called 'top riders' do come they find out they're not so 'top' over here. Riding on billiard table wide open track is very different to what they have to master here.
