cowboy cookie returns?
Rider replacement for Doyle on Thursday ensures that any slim chance we had has now gone. A season that promised so much even after losing Doyle now seems to be imploding & it seems like the white flag has been raised.

You totally entitled. as long as it is not dangerous

I think Ipswich gave up on the cup as soon as Emil got injured, they certainly didn't waste any money on replacing Doyle or getting any decent guests. The only hope left is the play offs, if Emil can return or they can get Harris and Lindgren to guest they may have a chance, if not they wont get many turning up to watch. To be fair to King, he was in the following heat so was probably already preparing when the crash happened. It was also at the furthest point on the track from the pits so he would have taken a long time to get there and back. Ellis hadn't raced at that point, and wasn't due out till heat 4, so he was the logical 'buddy' to send out to Thompson.

Freddie was booked for both ko cup and play offs but was blocked by his Polish club, Bomber, I think you'll find is a Tiger, also we have Tom Brennan

Are you telling me that Chris Harris has turned down a guest booking. They tell the fans to turn up and get behind the team and they put a team out like that. Even with RR and that fact that we will probably even lose again on Thursday, let alone the tie overall,, they know there will still be a decent crowd,, people really will turn up for anything,,,most off the crowd have been turning up regardless for the last 30,40, 50 and poss 60 years without fail.

You cannot ever really criticise the offering when you attend pretty much knowing what you will get... Cannot blame the promoters for doing what they do when "enough" will still back them.. Why spend money if you don't need to?
Arch Stanton
Can’t agree I think it’ll be a shocker of an attendance on Thursday. It was really poor last week against Birmingham as well.

I’m one of those, and I've decided against it. It’s effectively a dead rubber, and going yet again with rider replacement made the decision an easy one for me personally. I’ll put that 23 quid to better use this week.

The reserves race wasn't going to restart with Dan still out on the track. He had time to check on an important member of his team. Stop making excuses for him. He has come up short at everything. Captain, team rider and points scorer. He was lucky to score 4 yesterday after holder made a mistake in his first ride.

The Sheffield track was shocking during the pre match interviews & Tatums track walk it was said time & time again that gate 3 would be a grave yard in the early heats & what did King do after winning the coin toss took gates 1 & 3. We can’t over look Kings contribution during his time at Ipswich however it’s been clear that for the past 2 or 3 years he has been on a downward spiral & more interested in Danny King than being a team player. It’s time for him to move on during the winter & leave Ipswich with his legacy still more or less intact. Another season like the last couple would tarnish his Ipswich career. we need to retain Doyle,Rew,Thompson & if possible Emil next year. Ellis & Jenkins have not really done anything wrong but it’s a numbers game.

Kingy did appear to shut off a fraction early allowing Edwards to pip him on the line... which is unforgivable really.

And is usually up against two very good riders from the opposition who are "top level", or close to it... He is what he is, a 3rd HL/best SS... Or. A six point man or just slightly better... Ipswich have been incredibly unlucky but going with two big hitters carries its own risk and reward... King isn't going to fill any void left by those two, and cannot be expected to... King is not even beating riders on his home track that he should. He can't possibly replace either Doyle or Sayfutdinov - nobody has suggested that - but he hasn't even maintained his contribution when it was needed most.

TTT
I hope Ippo don't lose too much money on Thursday. I cant even imagine 100 Ippo fans turning up to watch Sheffield lift a trophy and stroll to another one sided victory against the injury hit Witches side. MP78
The scene is set... King bangs in 16 points... Brennan 12, Ellis 9, Rew 8, Thompson 7 Jenkins 4 and we're over the line!! And then as King holds the trophy aloft for the 2nd year running.... I wake up!! 😂
