Good meetings at Sheffield really.

His last 4 visits to Sheffield with Belle Vue.

13 rides 8 points scored .

Average for the 4 meetings

2:46.

Etheridge last meeting for Sheffield was paid 8, Vissing last meeting for Sheffield was 2, so a massive plus having Etheridge.

You can’t judge a rider on one meeting that’s why we have averages 🫠

Strange thing to say because Jai never rode all season he was brought in to ride at a track he is good at

And he was saved for that meeting, Mountain rode in the semi.

And the reason why they were labelled “pick and mix Tigers”. Sacking Brits just before the cut off and then strategically hand picking guests for certain tracks. All very snidey and unsavoury.

This is speedway,, and we know there is a rule in the rulebook that says,,, any rule can be broken at any time if it suits.

100%..

Which is why I do find it amusing when fans berate riders who miss UK meetings but keep riding abroad..

"Taking the pee out of UK speedway and its fans"

"No wonder Speedway over here isnt taken seriously" are often the refrains...

I think they need to look a bit closer to "home" to see the real reasons why the sport is where it is...

Another often used quote is..

"The promoters don't help themselves from time to time by their decisions"..

I disagree..

They 100% help themselves by their decisions...

It is the overall sport itself they often don't help by them...

Sheffield using R/R now at 5 on Monday

As Sheffield have now re-declared their lineup with R/R instead of Harris, could Ipswich now re-declare theirs with Harris instead of Lidsey or Brennan?

No because Harris, Masters and Nicholls have all rode for Ipswich in previous rounds so none of them will be able to ride either Monday or Thursday for the Witches

I thought that rule was only if they'd guested for a different team?

That will upset the Ipswich conspiracy theorists

Only in the one eyed world of Sheffield could applying the regulations correctly be regarded as a conspiracy theory :icon_smile_clown:

No, Harris would be eligible for Ipswich. The rule is if you guested in the semi then that is the only team you could guest for in the final

Now - for those wanting a conspiracy theory pin back your lugs and strap into your set

Here we go

Knowing the above is true and wanting to upset the Witches plans Sheffield have intially booked Harris so that Ipswich couldn't

They knew it would be overturned but hoped that with it being late in the day that Ipswich would simply stick with their choices anyway

If that looked like failing they will resist a change in the Ipswich line up so close to raceday siting a long forgotten regulation that has been mistakenly left in place since 1965 as an amendment to 1:12:32 sub section 4 paragraph 6

Surely the Ipswich management would had known straight away that Harris couldn't have rode for Sheffield anyway. So wouldn't have booked Lidsey in the first place.Or maybe they did only see it on here first.Harris can always ride at Lynn Monday.
