You missed rode for Smederna last night

But scoring nothing and only taking 2 rides would imagine perfectly acceptable for him to state “ I tried but injuries are still causing discomfort so can’t make it for this meeting”

Fancy a home win by about ten points. I think the Oxford team will click for the final home meeting of the season.

Lions winning streak has to end sometime and I’d rather it be now than in the play offs. Dickson will be as keen as ever for another win, but he will take a bonus point and keeping riders injury free. Lions will finish 2nd or 3rd, but either way will meet Belle Vue in the semis. I would consider it more likely that they will be 2nd (looking at the latest update from Lynn tonight) which I assume would give them a choice of riding home or away first.

I wouldn't be so sure on that. By my maths if Leicester win at home against Kings Lynn and pick up a bonus point against them they finish second.

Can see the the Lions nicking this if any of the Oxford team are off the pace.

With Masters, Fricke, Lawson and Douglas , if the Lions can get Cook or Hagon making a decent contribution at reserve could be a close meeting. LAst heat decider anybody ??

Rules seem to have gone out of the window this season! It truly is just a circus now.

02.2.1 Announcer / Presenter

To provide spectators in a strictly impartial manner with information, including Referee’s racing decisions, instructions or statements, required to understand and enjoy a Meeting. Under no circumstances should they make comment that incites any section of the crowd, or on any matter that is sub-judice or gives the impression a protest has been/is being made against a Referees decision.

They are responsible for the comments of anyone being interviewed who does not hold an SCB Licence or Registration.

For some reason he's the Presenter this evening, after Kileen locked up and fell causing Craig Cook to also come off there was a murmur in the crowd when Killeen was excluded... Blair comes on the mic asking the crowd if they think the ref has got the decision right, to roars, then asks if they think the ref should view a replay, again to roars, the ref then views a replay, decision unchanged.

It's not the presenters job to incite the crowd, as the rules state.... I consider that the riders job, but they're too busy disappearing back to the pits as soon as every race is over.

First time visit to Oxford tonight and it’s a really good set up there. What they’ve managed to do to bring speedway back to Cowley is fantastic.
Unfortunately the team has just not delivered this year but the strange/weak team changes were never going to work in the Spires’ favour. Bomber was very poor tonight.

As for Leicester, on a whole I think they are the form team for the play offs. Weak reserves but their top 5 is the strongest now.

The way I have it is 2 Leicester wins draws them level with Sheffield.

Sheffield have 129 PD
Leicester have 115.

So they need an aggregate win of 15+ against Kings Lynn next week to top the table. I am expecting a Leicester vs Sheffield final with Leicester edging it for the win.
