Tatum just saying Doyle might ride in the Golden Helmet next week, to me that means he knows he has a wildcard for the GP as surely he'd ride in the challenge

So he should have ......

As Doyle won the event before he will have been sent a contract for this year & his name may have appeared on some press release of invited riders. But this doe's not mean he will be racing.

It was widely reported (at least I Czechia] that he wouldn't be riding a week ago.

Lindback rode for Valsarna on 26 August, so he must have.

Maybe he had a deadline from the FIM when he had to announce his participation??? If he had no license at that time, maybe he had to give his allocation away. Still, a bit weird but anyways... Apparently he's been riding really well...

The article is paywalled so I can't read it but something related to economical difficulties after being suspended during doping investigation. Antontio's father says that Antionio has lost hundreds of thousands kronor (1 GBP about 13 SEK)

Why not have the reserves as the next two riders in the qualification process. Anyone could pull-out due to illness on the day or a rider getting injured in his 1st ride. So one of the reserves replaces him. Then bring in a track reserve to replace him, but as second reserve.

He was banned for a while because of a failed test  and then he was cleared as it was medicine to treat his ADHD condition.

Thanks, was that recently then?

5 rides from the GPs, not many riders would turn down that oportunity down no matter how hard up they were.

My thoughts exactly. You put in a few grand to have a chance to make a hundred or hundreds. Thats what speedway riders do...
