Well that was as good as a win after being behind from heat 7 onwards, Poole looking dominant as usual with a very strong top four .

Once again a fine afternoons racing at Northside , heat 15 was again out of the top drawer!!

Its a shame the crowd was down today , maybe due to summer holidays and some away the Wroclaw GP .

Was expecting that, a combination of the points deficit to make up, and the fact that season tickets couldn't be used will have kept a few away.

Reds at home as well, they were 2 to 3 hundred down on last week.

Just had a very luvvly cooked brekkie in the Waverley. Oh yes that's set me up for the day and the return trip home 👍

Safe journey and thanks for attending in what was our lowest crowd of the season.

With the aggregate scores determining the winners from heat 10/11, it was good to see Poole's 3 heat leaders reducing their CMAs/GSAs for October in the latter races.😉😁

I don't think the Semi and Final count toward the averages but I may be wrong.

I hope the missing fans turn up in large numbers for our last league match with Plymouth,  think if we win then we are in the play offs. But the fans need to show the promotion speedway can survive at worky, any more crowds like yesterday won't do the future any good . Rant over UTC

Just seen on updates of Richard lawson testimonial that Poole are intending to run 1st leg of play off on 11th September against comets or tiggers . Unfortunately if we qualify could be another low crowd for the 2nd leg, if the 1st leg result is not very good

Tigers have accepted the 11th September, if its them?! Worky not yet accepted it!! Maybe If it is to be Worky, they will want home first to get a reasonable gate!!!

(Ps as mentioned elsewhere, Lawson signs his 2025 Pirates contract today.)

Aw c'mon, do you SERIOUSLY think that the powers that be will allow Workington to have the 1st leg ??   You gotta be joking surely ?

Makes sense for worky to have 1st leg, hoping to get a good crowd for what will be more than likely the final meeting for 2024. Unless Poole collapse

Most teams fight over having the second leg rather than the first! Makes a change 😂
