Plymouth Gladiators vs Poole Pirates 24th Aug

I said to Rob, watch Barker at some time tonight he will have some type of crash/fall. He never disappoints.

We made hard work of that. Ben Cook backing off the throttle on bend 3 in both his last rides, not wanting to know. His brother did the opposite. Sam really struggling both guest reserves doing a good job. Lawson brilliant, Brennan good.

Special mention to Dan Thompson who really was excellent. He has really improved this season and was impressive.

Poole did make hard work of it tonight. They did not take the lead until heat 12. I don’t think Poole will get away with that type of performance in the play offs. Paul Stark had a blinder at reserve and your heat leaders got you over the line, albeit not a strong Plymouth side. Hagon has to find his early season form, if not It will be hard to carry a rider at number 2 in the play off's. Will Thomsen still be reserve when the play off's commence?

Well Sam stays at 2 for September so I hope he sorts himself out.

Mainly because his average hasn't changed much! Gone from 5.18 to 5.17. whereas Tobi's average is gone down half a point.

Interesting that Sam gets all the criticism though πŸ€”

Poole certainly can "get away with that type of performance in the play offs" as they don't need to win away to become Champions. Having a difficult night & keeping it close works fine in two legged affairs.
