Workington v Plymouth 25/08/24 5 pm.

Recommended Posts

This Sunday afternoon fixture will see the Comets looking to get the fourth place in the league and get that play off position depending on  how other results go ....

Not sure at the moment who will guest for Workington or the full Plymouth side.

Hopefully the weather will be ok as there have been some very heavy spells of rain this week.

Can’t see this being on. Had heavy rainfall all week and we’re getting another soaking through night tonight, 20mm. Rain forecast for Sunday too.

Be careful though, don’t want to be getting called cheats again 👀

I wouldn't bank on it.

Just putting out there for any doubtful Plymouth fans, 2 inch of rain in worky Wednesday nite, storm Lillian due to dump another 2 inch tonight.  So the track maybe under a little bit of water, caravan sites around Keswick evacuated major flooding in surrounding areas.

But we will hopefully get our last league match in and finish in the top 4 and play offs despite people saying we had a poor side at the beginning of the season  UTC

You'll be thoroughly deserving of the playoff spot. Wouldn't mind seeing you prevail in the playoffs tbh.

Will probably be very surprising if this goes ahead, the amount of rain we've had over the last 2 nights hours is ridiculous. One bonus is that there is a strong drying wind which will make a difference, but i'd imagine the area by the pits gate and onto the track will have been well under water this morning.

This was the scene down by the Travelodge by Northside bridge this morning
