IainB
LEICESTER: Max Fricke, Richard Lawson, Sam Masters, Luke Becker, Ryan Douglas, Craig Cook, Sam Hagon. OXFORD: Rohan Tungate, Erik Riss, Maciej Janowski, Charles Wright, Chris Harris, Ashton Boughen, Luke Killeen. Was this due to be on Eurosport? For reasons best known to themselves they're at Ippo instead and seem to be ignoring the race for the final play off spot altogether! If it wasn't due to be on Eurosport why is it on a Monday night? noaksey
Something to do with them needing to televise each track and they've not been to Ipswich apparently

Ipswich v Sheffield top two and GP winner think that's more of a crowd puller rather than a gate & go easy home win

flagrag
This fixture was due to be televised but was changed to give Ipswich a TV meeting and commercially it would have been wrong to put it up against Leicester vs Spurs premiership football so any casual fans will likely choose the football. It is expected that live footage of Leicester vs Oxford will be shown during the Ipswich vs Sheffield match This will possibly be Leicester’s lowest attendance of the season with the football on as well. The club could have easily looked to move this fixture to next week BH Monday if it’s wet and don’t go ahead Leicester may not be able to restage it before cut off so best to get match raced and hopefully points on the table

As per the link, the decision was made several weeks ago and was due to the agreed terms of the contract.
Arch Stanton
Our home tv meeting was due to be Belle Vue on July 15th which was postponed. We have to have one as stated above.

Yeah, expect record viewing figures, much more interesting than two teams battling for a play off position.

I suspect the one you will watch is the one Eurosport decide to cover. The outcome of your preferred match will mean diddly squat when it comes to the play offs. As for gate and go, the Leicester track is fair and welcomes opposition riders to make good starts should they wish to do so. The best riders attack this track and don’t make excuses, or read about all the negativity on social media.Have to admit though it’s no Belle Vue, where every meeting is orgasmic and a fast bike takes usually takes care of a rider’s technical shortfalls.

Gresham78
Was thinking of going to this tonight but with a near 200 mile round trip to do I’m a bit worried about the weather. BBC forecast says light rain due for Leicester this evening, anybody know if the local forecast is saying different ?

I think you will find every rider in every race tries to make the start not just at Leicester but fans do want some entertainment for the admission money Leicester had a chance to make a proper race track from scratch but didn't ? Just because your throttle jockey Belle Vue riders can't make a pass on anybody away from the NSS you have a down on the other tracks?

Leicester did have a blank canvas, so it's probably fair to say that they never made the most of it.
