Top 4 finishing order

When the kings Lynn v Leicester matches were getting postponed earlier in the season most people would be thinking that the teams would be in a fight to finish 4th.

The SCB (or who made the decision) wouldn't have been thinking the top 3 would drop that many points that Leicester would have a possibility of finishing top.

Buster's faultĀ :D

Not sure even Buster would stoop so low as to rig the league table!

Possibly the case.

It's the same with Leicester dropping Drew Kemp for Cookie. Leicester team only fitted into the averages at the start of the season with Drew's 25% reduction from last season (from being a fast track rider). He was then replaced on his full average (which the Leicester team would be illegal at the start of the season).

This therefore isn't helping fast track riders.

What happens if Leicester v Sheffield final, both Thursday night tracks. How decide who has 2nd leg?

Will it be Leicester if they assuming they top?Ā

Says on the British speedway site that Leicester looking to finish top so they have choice of legs in the final (if they get there).

That would say whoever does finish top (if the top 2 both get through) will get the second leg. Last year the final was 3rd v 4th so could be an upset somewhere.

If the final is between Sheffield and Leicester who gets the choice of having the the 1st leg or the 2nd leg .Will it be the team that actually finishes top or the team that was chosen to finish top .Every year you think it canā€™t get more comical but it does lol

I'm sorry but I just can't understand anybody that can take this competition seriously anymore.

The majority don't. British Speedway as a whole is down to about 20,000-25,000 a week watching trackside these days.

It's not been serious for 20+yrs & not professional since Sky dropped it.

Surprised if there are that many attending trackside. Doubt that many show a profit with the declining interest in the sport. With great swathes of the country disenfranchised by lack of a track, itā€™s now down to two handfuls of tracks in provincial towns ( a few in cities) . With the same old same old race format, Ā no new innovative ideas ( save for a countdown clock ) and little to attract a younger audience the organised league sport in the UK is in slow but steady decline.Ā
Ā
Clinging onto TV coverage and funding ā€¦Eurosport call the shots , P Morris has little choice but to keep them happy for the money that keeps UK speedway afloat.Ā

We've not had a countdown clock for weeks at Lynn, and can't remember the last time the score board was working.

Don't they have anyone to sort it on racenights now or has it just gone wrong and not been repaired?
