Thanks - glad his shoulder and or wrist seem good then! He was down for a while and you feared the worst when he withdrew. Hopefully he will be back and fully able to race in 09 days then

We definitely need him back. Troy batchelor replaces him Monday.

That’s what they do.. Ellis injured last night due to Ipswich been a tight little narrow track or was it an unfortunate racing incident? Depends if you want to look at facts or just slag off riders you dislike and blame the track/club

It’s a tight track but it’s definitely not narrow as it was significantly widened about 15 years ago.

Depends I suppose if you were there!

For the record he locked up on the 1st 2nd bend on lap 2 - maybe hit a rut I am not sure, or simply rider error. Rew did a similar fall there in heat 4

I think he was being facetious to make a point, I fully understand people make comment without facts or evidence -  Ipswich in my view is wider than Sheffield, but i could be wrong.

However I have been going to Sheffield off and on since 1998 and I don't ever really recall shale piled up by the fence but maybe I haven't been concentrating - wether that made the accident worse or not I can't say! We should all just be glad Emil wasnt seriously injured!

I know it’s not I was just referring to the Ipswich fans jumping on the emil crash last week blaming the track shape/dirt on the outside before hearing the facts.

The straights are narrow at Owlerton but the bends are not wider.. remember at Sheffield they’re going faster and can really throw the bike into the bends

Yes, I've always liked it as a race track - i do feel it could benefit from being wider but we've done that topic already!

and how do you this?

The track was exactly same last night as it was last week, no falls at all

Maybe Buster should come over and give a few lessons on track preparation

Shows how bad the Ipswich track is when all three fallers were home track riders.

Don't make much sense to me tbh. If the track was that bad wouldn't the away riders find it tougher.

Team who finish top always deserve it, injurys are part of sport and teams have to deal with them.

Absolutely not. A team that finishes top due to someone else’s huge misfortune who were clearly better than them, doesn’t mean you deserve to finish top. You’ve simply taken advantage of someone’s misfortune. That’s self explanatory.

Hard to deal with losing the top 2 riders in the league.

But as has been said Ipswich have chosen to go with an outstanding top two and although injuries are unfortunate they are part and parcel of the sport, and being a bit suspect at the bottom end the Witches were caught out this time with the early injury to Ellis being the catalyst for a night to remember.

Leicester are the current form team and it showed, I still think this title is anyone’s, any one of the top 4 can win it and it’s going to be the one who does better on the road methinks.

I think whichever club has our support, it is hard not to sympathise with Ipswich's situation in which the top end of their team has been virtually wiped out through injuries. Come what may, I think they will definitely reach the play-off's but going on from there is going to be difficult for them.

Leicester it seems, are the team running into form at the moment and who must be the dark horses for the title. They looked a very sound combination at Perry Barr last Monday if perhaps on the suspect side at reserve, but it wouldn't surprise me if they do pull it off this season.

The same sympathy that Sheffield got last year when they lost Holder, Woffinden, and then Musielak ?

Unless you are allowed to sign the world number 5 after any cut off dates and during the play offs of course.🤫
