wider tracks

After the two  crashes involving Tate and  Emil i think the way tracks are allowed to let the dirt build up near the  fence leads to riders chasing the dirt riding feet from the  fence. the rest of the track is not used and we get follow the leader races. the dirt must be pulled back down over the whole track, its silly not to give riders the chance to pass inside and outside and all the track gets used. Scunny get great racing riders can use all the track M P T won heat 15 last Friday passing both Poole riders up the inside all the track was used, even at the N S S it sometimes ends up one line round the fence, come on track  men start pulling the dirt back over all the track for safer and better racing

you need decent machinery to pull the dirt back in effectively.  however, rakers could help to spot where big piles of dirt were building up.  my take on the Emil crash was that he ended up on a bit of the track which is rarely used at Sheffield, the outside on bend 3.  you dont see too many people dive bomb the 2nd bend.  It wasnt really a place on the track Emil intended to be at, as he hoped to have blocked holders run.  you can see why that part of the track might have been neglected as its usually the 4th bend that sees the overtaking.

Tate crash was nothing to do with dirt out wide.

Sorry but Tate was hanging on was wide and  could not control the bike he hit deep dirt when that happens the bike picks up drive eg speed, the rider becomes a passenger. This is not a argument about how a crash happens, its about track prep by letting dirt build up on the  outside and riders all try to use that part of the track.that then give us one line follow the leader racing. Just start early pull the dirt back across all the track lets get back to racing

Yes, Belle Vue seriously need to look into their one line following the leader problem.
I disagree with your assessment of Tates crash as well.

Tate's crash had nothing to do with the state of the track, was a racing incident on the entry to the 3rd bend,  and could not get off the bike when it straightened up,  going to the fench at alarming speed

That's a totally incorrect review of the Tate crash.

You can't have been there, since your description of Tate's crash is completely wrong.

Nothing to do with a wide line, nor dirt near the fence.

Rew was on the inside of Zischke and got out of shape and hit Zischke, straightening him up.    Nothing intentional from Rew, just a racing accident, and nothing to do with the wide line and nothing to do with dirt near the fence.

And if you'd ever been to NSS you'd know it's the complete opposite to a one-line follow-the-leader track.

You don’t know how speedway bikes work if you think spreading loose dirt on a slick inside makes better racing.

But grading the dirt line needs to be done to stop berm/ridges developing.

Is the trick not allowing the inside line to go slick?
