I’m sure Antti got the hang of the track after a few rides last time and won a heat, hopefully we won’t have too much to claw back on Saturday. Antti struggled but I did see signs of him getting the hang of the track in the end. Hoping hook, jye, and troy can claw some points together. SteelShoe
Armadale has never been an easy place to go to for the Comets. The early season form of Tate has not been at the high level he was at early last season. This is probably to be expected following his crash at Belle Vue and relatively inactive season back home. Just hope his form and confidence can pick up quickly from here now that he has had a few meetings under his belt. The KO Cup and BSN Series are important to our season. Progression will provide more meetings for riders and fans in a season where there aren't that many We need Batch to lead from the front and hit the ground running until some of our guys find their feet. Edinburgh have recruited well, having ex rider Palovarra at reserve is a strong point at present and he is way better than an assessed 5. Time to be focussed and competetive, keep it tight as possible to help give us a chance in the return leg. UTC !

W.. Expand Chill out mate. You don't have to have ridden a speedway bike to express your opinions/thoughts. I think he's right in saying that about Jye because last year he fell off a lot. I hope a new track and new equipment can help him out. I'm sure he can put a point on his average this season.
H20
Very tough draw getting Edinburgh away in the Comets first meeting, why ? because I think they will get hammered on Friday night which will make Saturday's meeting a right downer as they will never pull the points back.I think it's going to be a hard start to the season for the comets as they only have one heat leader who had a great season last year and we are all hoping he can just do the same this year but he has no back up currently with Tait and Anti's early season form but we should not be expecting them to be two heat leaders either this early in there British careers. Comets have decent reserves but its asking to much of them.
paul84
I’m fully confident in the team we have no concerns here give the lads some time to get some meetings in as a team and we will see the results our reserve imo are very strong possibly the best in the league. Can’t wait for this weekend to get things started yes we all know Edinburgh isn’t a happy place for us (or most teams) but let’s get behind them!

Comets have decent reserves but its asking to much of them. Expand I seem to notice a trend this season with fans wanting what they don't have, or could be pointing out "flaws" on other sides. Glasgow "need stronger reserves" Oxford "only have one heat leader" Workington"only have one heat leader" Redcar "will struggle if one of the top 5 underperforms" Scunthorpe"need more big hitters" So if you have strong reserves then your top end is too weak & vice versa. With a low points limit (anything below 42 is low imo) sides will always look weak in some areas. I've gotta say I think it makes for a fascinating season. In this case, I can understand why Workington built with a stronger bottom end than last year, reserve strength was their biggest issue last year. Zischke & Vuolas were very strong at home last year, so maybe big home wins is Workington's plan for success in 2025?

Expand Yeah, teams have either built with strong heat leaders/ weaker reserves or gone for more strength in depth. Winning all your home fixtures is vital and if you can pick up the odd away win with aggregate bonus points here and there it should be enough to make the playoffs ?. I agree about a fascinating season. I really don't know how Worky will perform until we get out on track as a 7, we have potential but there are unknowns and our sub par performance in the Pairs didn't help answer any of these . We will need to be strong at home because our track holds no real advantage.
Pinny
Its only natural for fans to want changes early doors if results are off. It must be a huge worry for Worky with Tate Z being so off it. That crash last season has hit him for six by the looks of it. He was superb last season before it, had the style and speed but it just proves that one big knock can reck your confidence. Hopefully after a few meetings he gets his confidence back as Worky need him hitting potential to be challenging.

Neila
Not getting involved in how good or bad the comets team is, I've been following the comets since 1970, through good 2018 and very bad 1980 +81 , I'm just going to enjoy the speedway home and away to support the team, and hope the fans turn up to support Andrew Bain and the rest of the backroom team. It's in Andrews best interests to get a solid, winning team. For me, I'm not bothered. I enjoy speedway no matter if we win or lose. Obviously I'd prefer to win but it's nice to just relax and enjoy a nice speedway meeting. Can't wait for this season. I went Redcar on three occasions, berwick, Glasgow and Edinburgh last season. This season I want to go to the same but make the trip further south as well. UTC! 1
