I think regarding basso is that he isn’t fit but under pressure from Poland to ride regardless.
But lynn shouldn’t get a facility for him as he has returned to riding three times since his uk absence.

Fit enough to score 7 points from four rides though.

Certainly knows how to handle and get the best out of his riders

It’s just a shame that recently (bar 2021 and even that on paper wasn’t a good team) he hasn’t had the resources to challenge with a competitive 1-7

If you are going to deploy the 'not fit for british tracks line' then best its not used on the NSS as its possibly the most Polish of tracks out there!

Can't see an anything other than a big home win here which means as a neutral I may just watch the highlights after. But lets hope its a cracker! Maybe KL have the advantage at reserve!

Whilst our last encounter with the Stars was no classic there were 6 decent races after bend 3 lap 1 and an additional 3 passes on bend 3 lap one, or so the markings of my programme indicate. If the Stars gate it should entertain me though not the gate’n’go fans at home. The lack of a close score will also put them off no matter how many exciting (to me) races there are. Not one for the modern purist I’m afraid.

2021 just fell right for Peterborough and having a high scoring reserve played to our all round strength, Rob Lyon played a full part in the team’s success which wasn’t really expected from anyone, Ulrich riding superbly at the start whilst a reserve and then getting hurt whilst No 1 didn’t go against us either.

Sometimes things just fall into place and 2021 was one such occasion and very enjoyable it was.

I get the comments about polish clubs shielding their assets but that remark falls short when nobody on here I’ve seen has yet to mention basso took part in the danish individual championship as well where he rode on the 7th August?

Phil Morris explanation regarding rider replacement and guests is just putting a plaster over the real problems with speedway in this country. If the rules had allowed for signings for injured riders things might be different, but no, the powers that be went for the broad brush approach. His excuses for where the sport is because of rider shortage is not acceptable and since when have those in charge given a second thought to Joe Public. He is talking as much horse s..t as the BSPL.

Unfortunately the Polish scene knocks spots off the UK presentation and any rider worth his salt would rather ride in front of a packed crowd with an atmosphere that is second to none compared to the sparse speedway support that turns up at a UK stadia. Those that ride in Poland and frequent UK teams/tracks are simply topping up the pension. If you are a regular who watches on Kergel then you will understand the phrase chalk and cheese when watch weekend racing from Poland versus what is served up from the UK Clubs. The UK broadcaster cannot ever offer a comparable form of entertainment no matter who are the commentators and if they had any sense they would quietly part the sport in some dark corner and leave it to BSN to show the best bits from the lower leagues.

Many other sports above speedway in this country for TV as for Poland speedway is number 1 above soccer

Speedway in Poland isn't as big as football..

It is very big in certain towns and cities, but nationally not on the level of football overall..

Volleyball, Basketball and Handball are all very well supported Polish sports too..

Polish Speedway does well as it doesn't run it's leagues in the ridiculous way that the UK does, hence thousands of fans can emotionally, and tribally, invest into their team, and sponsors and TV support it knowing it is bonus fide sports championship that all teams race for..
