Just saw that on Instagram.

Frustrating for all parties involved, but the paying fans especially.

Berwick have found themselves in a difficult situation, but as a fan, I can’t help but feel disappointed by the explanation of ”unavailable”.

Very indecisive from Berwick Promotions.Just expecting Cook to turn up when he is ready to race seems a strange one. The season has started whether Berwick have started or not.Now that he is still unavailable to represent the Club he should be released.

I don't understand why people can be so anti MPT, he has a near 8 point average. It's not like I'm suggesting a reserve to replace Cook.

Probably fair to say Berwick not one of his favourite tracks over the years

His results at Berwick speak for themselves:

2024 - 2 from 1 (Withdrawn) and 4 from 4

2023 - 3+1 from 4

2022 - 2 from 3

2021 - 5+1 from 4

His average mainly comes from superb home form at Scunthorpe etc.

See I don't mind replies like this, pointing out why my suggestion isn't a good one. Rather than someone suggesting I'm clueless.

Although so far, no one has been able to suggest a better replacement than MPT (except a 75% guest) if MPT is such a bad suggestion, it should be easy for people to name stronger (realistic) signings right?

Not that i think anyone's surprised in the slightest but once again the fans are left in the dark and treated like idiots.

I understand with what happened with Rory and now Cook is completely beyond their control, but just bloody communicate with the fans.

Totally agree with that. If Berwick explained their predicament they would come out looking like the "innocent party" staying silent seems to serve no purpose

Nope I've not seen him at Berwick, just thinking of unsigned heat leaders from last year.

There is a reason he's unsigned, his financial demands were way to high and effectively priced himself out of the market  however he's in a very strong negotiating position now if Berwick want to sign him.

Although it seems extremely unlikely, maybe Cook is unavailable for pairs but will be ready for start of season!!!!. It seems very unfair to fans who booked a bus to the pairs expecting to see Kildemand (can't predict injuries) and Cook (whose participation has apparently been iffy for weeks or maybe months) riding. Without knowing all the facts, for the club to issue a statement regarding rider participation and without much clarity only 2 days before the event seems pretty pathetic and disrespectful to the fans. Maybe it's to do with legal reasons or maybe they genuinely haven't a clue what's happening. Either way it just looks bad. Anybody put their season ticket up for sale on ebay yet?

Absolutely no sympathy whatsoever for Berwicks promotion. In my eyes they are just as culpable as Cook is. As soon as he let Leicester down he should have been released. Another complete shambles that can be added to an already lengthy list.

What about Claus Vissing ? Always appeared to go well around Berwick.

A couple of points below Cook, would there be a double change? 4.00 rider coming in for Dayle Wood?

Would be very harsh on Dayle, similar to Scunthorpe dropping Joe T when Zaine Kennedy got injured pre-season.
