W9 LionStalker... He'll be quite a signing for the team that gets him... has worked under Mr Dickson before... quite successfully 🏆

I'm a bit surprised that Oxford didn't wait for him, especially in a league play off system where you don't need to operate at 100% for a full season.

In last weeks Speedway Star, Scott said its June at the earliest that he can return and that he will not return until the shoulder is ok and he is fit and ready to hit the ground running.

So how long do Oxford wait ? Do they delay all CL fixtures till late in the season in the hope Scott is ready ? Or beg the authorities to allow a 6 man team and RR/guests until he is fit to return ?

June's a bit long to run without a rider isn't it? Maybe a short term with a Dougy or Picko and then Nicholls? But probably not feasible worth Berwick being a Saturday track (do they still run Saturdays?). Is Thomas Jorgensen fit these days?

For a fairly prolific poster you don't seem to be very clued up on what's happening.

You could just continue the discussion by answering some simple questions instead of being so narky

This has to be worrying for Berwick supporters

Confirmation that your R.E.D Bandits, powered by STS, will be represented by Drew Kemp and skipper Danyon Hume in Saturday’s Championship Pairs at Workington, 3pm.

With winter signing Peter Kildemand still sidelined under the concussion protocol following his spill at Oxford last week and Craig Cook unavailable at this time the baton passes to a couple of last season’s standout performers.

Just saw that on Instagram.

Frustrating for all parties involved, but the paying fans especially.

Berwick have found themselves in a difficult situation, but as a fan, I can’t help but feel disappointed by the explanation of ”unavailable”.

Worrying why?

It's been on the cards for weeks reference Cookie.

Fans are always an afterthought.

Their ex-GP rider heat leader has just withdrawn from the Pairs event, having been surrounded by negative rumours for the past three weeks.

Was that a serious question?

100 percent serious, you can't say it is a suprise. If anyone turns up to watch Cook solely in a Berwick suit this weekend I struggle to have much sympathy.

You aren't surplus to requirements as a number one in simultaneous seasons with 3 decent clubs.

I think it’s because it’s past the point of “Worrying” writing has been on the wall since he was replaced at Leicester because he’s uncontactable, I think this was a foregone conclusion and the statement is merely confirmation that Cook won’t turn a wheel for Berwick whether it’s written that way or not.

Nobody said it’s a surprise, but it’s still worrying for Berwick fans.

I agree, but the fact remains it’s a worrying situation for Berwick fans.

Fans were worried 2 weeks ago, I’ve been worried since the day he signed, it’s over now. It’s easier to just try and forget he ever signed.

No point worrying, it’s over, he won’t turn a wheel for the club.

Far easier just to move on and see if there is/who is the replacement, Cook was always a major risk and maybe it’s better getting this out of the way in April rather than further down the line.

So you agree that it’s worrying times for Berwick speedway?

Who said they wouldn’t? This is the inevitable next course or action.

Not that i think anyone's surprised in the slightest but once again the fans are left in the dark and treated like idiots.

I understand with what happened with Rory and now Cook is completely beyond their control, but just bloody communicate with the fans.
