I've not seen him ride, I'd agree he was a terrible signing on a 6.00 average, but on a 4.00 at reserve, could be a different story? I guess my thinking is that riders like James Pearson & Jacob Hook had poorer averages in their first seasons, but got signed up again? Ivacic was a good gater but offered nothing beyond that, and gave no hint of any improvement over the time he was at Glasgow. Could do a decent job as reserve at a gaters paradise on a 4 but would not be UK based and therefore expensive, plus he's in his 30s whereas Pearson and Hook were much younger. I would doubt that Ivacic will be back anywhere in the UK. Nick Morris is a favourite rider of Stewart Dickson, so may well become a Bandit mid-season once his ban is over. Actually, I’ll go even further and say that he often withdrew from competing for the first bend; pulling the clutch and putting his left foot on the ground before hitting turn one. We’ve had some terrible signings over the years, from Dalle Anderson to Trent Leverington, but few have been as abysmal as Ivacic. He arrived as the Slovenian or Slovakian champion, but ended up at reserve. Factor in the costs associated with mobilising him, his work permit, etc. An absolute disaster of a signing. Genuinely dreadful.

Was quite optimistic about him after watching him in the SON, but that optimism didn't last long. He seemed scared to race other riders round Glasgow, think he'd be equally terrified of Berwick

If his ban ends around 12th July that's not mid season for us. That's usually nearly end of season the past couple of years.

Through whatever combination of the tracks generally being smaller, tighter and rougher than on the continent and a different rear tyre, Ivacic never performed as well as hoped/expected. However if say Poole were to sign him on a 4 at reserve I reckon that he could hold that ave as he would score well enough at home. Sadly there was no sign of improvement over the time that he was here to suggest that he'd be worth bringing back, and given the costs involved I very much doubt we'll ever know. PS personally I'd say Richard Juul, Kevin Wolbert and the 2024 Lee Complin were all far worse signings than Trent Leverington
