That was also 8 years ago, riders improve/decline over time, experience and age have a lot to do with it.

Statistics from as long ago as that are absolutely meaningless imo, you could also pull up his stats from 2022 where he finished the season with a 6.29 average and say he’s great value at 4.98.

It’s just cherry picking stats to suit your agenda, I absolutely agree it’s time to move on for both parties but it’s a very odd way to frame it using his pre Berwick stats from nearly a decade ago.

I get we both think he should move on I just don’t understand why his pre Berwick form and him not being a world beater as you say in 2016 is relevant to 2024 or 2025? That is the part that confuses me.

Steve Worrall averaged 3.00 in 2013 and was dropped by both Newcastle and Redcar but it’s completely irrelevant now isn’t it?

I would be moving on because he was poor in 2024 not because of the rider he was when he first arrived in this country.

Sam Hagon could be an option considering he's riding for Stewart Dickson's Lions side in 2025.

Imo Sam Hagon needs to find a team where he starts at reserve as in the main body he would be very vulnerable,I would have suggested Plymouth but he was awful there for Poole.

Haha, what’s the chances of Hodder returning? You’s stuck by him last season when he struggled maybe he could show a bit of loyalty in return?

I have to agree, the fact Berwick kept him all season when he averaged below the minimum 2, but he's (rumoured to be) leaving for Glasgow, would leave a shout taste in my mouth if I was a Berwick fan.

Obviously we don't know what goes on behind the scenes, perhaps Berwick couldn't guarantee him a place so he looked elsewhere?

Never seen any improvement all season

He scored more in 1 meeting guesting at Glasgow than in most of the league season for Berwick, maybe the track suits his style better. He doesn't look the sharpest gater and passing easier at ashfield than shielfield.

Can't go on about loyalty here when advertising riders getting dumped on the Poole and Plymouth threads.

Think it was only decent meeting he had all year. Was pretty crap at the under 21 meeting and when Berwick were there in the BSN.

Aye that's true wasn't great those meetings, seen many riders signed on the back of one good meeting and be a disaster.

I’d agree with that the easy option for club is to resign him but a new foreign rider on a 5.00 surely would be the way to go would give the club some fresh impetus and if the signing hits it off then that’s not a bad team at all.

Are Berwick in a position to bring in a new foreign rider, didn`t they need the help of Glasgow to bring in a new rider recently.

Seems a common occurrence.

Same happened with Ace.  Also took riders on converted averages also.

If these young riders are being offered better deals at others Clubs you really can’t blame them for moving on. In the case of Hodder he was not even an asset .

No complaints from me.

Riders need to do what's best for their career.  Just stating that it's happened a few times.
