Tries a lot harder when racing for Belle Vue etc than he does for Berwick (seems to race for the four laps when with them but doesn't when with Berwick). Supposed to be the home track specialist who was 6th in the Berwick home averages this season.
Robinh88
Reference Jye's statistics pre joining Berwick! 2016..Redcar..8..34..26..7..3.88 2016..Edinburgh..11..40..9..3..1.20 What are some fans genuinely expecting? Granted I get the point - it maybe time for both parties to move on. He was hardly a world beater before joining the club.

szkocjasid
Good signing, if Borke can pick up where his scoring was pre-injury, Berwick should always have a strong reserve.

PTW
Cook 8.42 Schlein 8.08 Kemp 6.46 Hume 4.87 Borke 4.84 32.67 7.33 left Etheridge 4.98 slots in nicely to leave 2.35 left so I’d assume a 2.00 rider. imo I’d say a better team than last year with decent balance to it,wether it’s a play off team is in the balance I’d say. screm
Delighted with the Borke signing. IMO Berwick needs to move on and away from Jye Etheridge and Etheridge from Berwick for the good of club and rider. I’d agree with that the easy option for club is to resign him but a new foreign rider on a 5.00 surely would be the way to go would give the club some fresh impetus and if the signing hits it off then that’s not a bad team at all. But if they new foreigner is of the Patrik Baek, Matic Ivacic or Celina Liebmann ilk then Etheridge would be better. If you find another Tate Zischke or Antti Vuolas then it's a play-off looking team.

That was also 8 years ago, riders improve/decline over time, experience and age have a lot to do with it. Statistics from as long ago as that are absolutely meaningless imo, you could also pull up his stats from 2022 where he finished the season with a 6.29 average and say he’s great value at 4.98. It’s just cherry picking stats to suit your agenda, I absolutely agree it’s time to move on for both parties but it’s a very odd way to frame it using his pre Berwick stats from nearly a decade ago.
