Poole Pirates vs Scunthorpe Scorpions 7th August

Recommended Posts

Looking to extend their unbeaten run in the league to 12, technically correct, the Pirates come up against one of the stronger teams in the league the Scorpions.

That said the Pirates crushed the Scorpions last time out with a convincing 60-29 win in the KO Cup semi but as we know the Scorpions have tasted their own success at WImborne Road (When they had Ryan Douglas).

Wonder if Lawson will be on the bonus points this week after his full house and I hope Vinnie's shoulder is feeling better as it was causing him a lot of discomfort on Sunday.

Scunthorpe are 2nd in the league for a reason so mustn't be taken lightly.

Both teams should be at full strength.

Vinnie Foord out v Scunthorpe. Ben Trigger guests at home and Jacob Hook guests at Scunny on Friday.

Oh jeez! Hope Vinnie gets his shoulder right asap.

Couldn't we get Max Perry in? Would rather have seen him at home at least..

But hope Trigger & Hook can get us a few points each.

Trigger and Hook will probably get a few each max perry wouldn't.

Max Perry 3+1 when he guested at home vs Edinburgh July 3rd. So you can't categorically say that he wouldn't score a few points.

I'd still rather use the strongest guest possible and Perry definitely wouldn't of been.

I would say Ablitt and Harrison a bit stronger than Edinburgh reserves. Perry could get a couple of points but we have up to 4 points to cover for Vinnie now so more choice of guest rather than another 2 pointer.

A 14 point win to take to Scunny on Friday.:t:

Think we will need it. Sam Hagon is completely off the boil. Tobias looks like he is nervous when close to pass after his couple of spills, and no Vinnie Foord.

Going to end up like last season if we are not careful!
