Oxford v Birmingham Thursday 1st August PL

Recommended Posts

While it sounds Brummies were unlucky, they still had it on them to win. Lindgren obviously was good but couldn't do it in the heat 15 re-run. Pawlicki didn't score enough & Flint was VERY disappointing, against probably the weakest reserve pairing in the league he could only score one point.

Lindgren disappoints again.

He should be winning heat 15.

If Birmingham had signed Laguta instead of Lindgren, they would be challenging for the play-offs.

Give it a rest your becoming boring with this Laguta nonsense.

Pawlicki rode better than his points total, flint looks down on speed, can’t fault Freddie in heat 15 he took janowski to the fence to stop him but janowski kept it on and the clattered together inches from the fence, Birmingham didn’t really lose the meeting by fault they were unlucky in 15 with Brenen being excluded

This shows the Brummies are capable of racing when they have the right track conditions which Perry Barr rarely is, well done Oxford but very lucky by all accounts especially in Ht 15.

Did you not say Brennan is out of form!

If Laguta had signed for Birmingham he would only have turned up twice possibly only once!

Good meeting to watch.. Poole boys in good form. Thought Brum were the better team all night but the dive from Riss when turning left on Brennan who was through won it for Oxford. Lindgren should have done better in 15 though. Didn’t think the crowd was big. Normally  more when Poole visit.

I mentioned it sounded like Birmingham were unlucky (haven't seen the heat, but the consensus is Riss should've been excluded) my point is, they still could have won even with the heat 15 decision.

Riss had to do it and take the gamble, luckily for Oxford it paid off. Riss looked quick tonight. Brennan rode well and it was good to see my old favourite rider Magic back to form.

You also said he should ride at 3 to help his form, it didn't look like he needed any help!

But his scores had fallen (for Birmingham), so that was my suggestion to remedy the situation. Perhaps not needed after a good performance tonight.

There's still a part of me that thinks Pawlicki should be at 5 as a former GP rider. Plus I think Brennan & Cook would work well together.
