Ipswich v Kings Lynn August 1st

Recommended Posts

Another great Guest showing from Lewis Kerr after his 1 point for Lynn at home against Ipswich. I thought he can't be as bad as that again......I was wrong!

Expected result. But 28 of the 33 points scored by Kvech NKI, and  Rowe. If Lynn was thinking of giving Lewi a spot, I hope they have changed their mind.Paddy is ok at home but poor away, and Lambert was never gonna score many at 1. I’m sure they all gave it their best.on the night, but time to bring in fresh new riders Buster..

Is there any out there who want to race over here?

That’s the thing Trees. I know we have been trying, and hope there are some deals that can be done sooner rather than later. We had a good team to start the season, but for one reason or another, it’s fallen to pieces .

Don't think Buster will bother bringing in anyone he will just carry on like this for what's left of the season in my opinion.

Might be more availability with some play off places secured in Poland and Sweden

Thought no team could sign anyone once they had ridden 75% of their matches?

Don't they also get help from their local councils/government.Im sure i read that somewhere.

Yup, the government gives funds to the local councils, they get a lot of money for sports. If a team is better in one sport EG. Poznan with football, then bigger percent of the pot goes to football. Vice versa for speedway. Interestingly Lublin football have been promoted to the top tier for next season and the city is forced to take money from their speedway club and even it out for football. So it looks like their start studded speedway team will split after the following season

They can’t. Lynn still have 3 meetings left until they complete 18/24 (75%) and that doesn’t happen until 12th August. Polish regular season is finished by then…

In Poland  they do get help from the local authorities but then Poland does like to invest in amenities & the local communities unlike the uk. However I’m not sure they would get the level of support from the local councils etc if it was ran as a Micky mouse sport like the uk.

I’m pretty convinced that if the sport was run properly in the UK & got some half decent media coverage & decent attendance levels the likes of Peterborough, Coventry, wolves would still be going.

Some good racing there tonight I thought. Ellis always in the thick of the action.

Can we agree that Ellis coming from last to second on the line and riding the air fence was ride of the night ! Got the crowd up!

Just out of interest anyone know what Scottie is averaging for us at the moment? I know his bookings for us don’t affect his average, it would be interesting to know given he has spent most of the time at number 1

9 matches (4  riding at no 1) 42 rides 74 pts  7.05 ave

That was a more interesting meeting than I thought it would be. Some great efforts from some of the Lynn boys kept it interesting & Ellis was superb from the back.

Kvech looked good & took to Foxhall like a duck to water. I hope Louis & Hawkins take note for 2025 :-)

Have to agree, some really good racing tonight and KL made us work for it early on. Said exactly the same to my mate about Kvech, attacked the track like it should be done and got the results
