szkocjasid
Think I would've moved Paco to number 3, as he's been doing well at home, he'd be my pick for r/r in heat 13, so would want to avoid him having to ride in 13,14,15 to finish the match. Disagree with that. Running r/r at 5 means the first 3 rides are paired with a reserve, hence you go with the 3 strongest in the top 5. On paper, that's Josh, Michele and Kye, leaving Lasse in heat 13. If necessary (and, admittedly, partly depending on how badly the top 5 are performing), it's also an opportunity to get rid of the weakest reserve's third ride. If Josh does his job, he'll win 13 anyway so take the 3-3 and move on to the next race.

I still feel it could be lost points though, if Lasse finishes last in heat 13, when he could've beaten a reserve elsewhere? I'm more thinking about who you ride against, rather than who you ride with.

IainB
What a performance by Joe Thompson! You can see his experience of riding Leicester being used around Armadale. If Ben Barker had performed anything like he should have done Berwick may well have got something out of this.

Steve Shovlar
Watched this on BSN, riders all over the place spinning and falling or tailed so far off they were in a different postcode. Barker looked like a complete novice, and has a 20 hour round trip for his “efforts”. It was like Sky Sports deciding to show Brentford v Nottingham Forest, and just up the road Arsenal v Man City were playing but were not on TV. BSN were at the wrong venue.
