Glasgow Tigers vs Poole Pirates 26th July

The score at Workington this afternoon shows what an effort it was by us last night to take the Pirates to a last heat decider

With gritted teeth must be thinking that guy Brennan is decent.

He's really improved a lot this season , just a pity he left us , but maybe travelling up here every week was getting a bit much

Ambition to ride abroad more probably had a lot to do with it.Midweek track probably suits more.

He wanted a team nearer his base, Poole was the perfect fit for that.

280 miles from his Midlands base to Glasgow.

165 miles from his Midlands base to Poole.

There you go saving 250 miles round trip per home meeting.

Maybe, but prob in playoff time. Track seems to be better at beginning and end of season.

Tracks are better when less sun, more rain and generally damper. Gets in to the base and water table.

The biggest single issue though was when total loss oil system ended. All of that Castrol R that used to be deposited from the engine was a brilliant bonding agent for the shale.

Also don’t think a Friday suited.

We’re we not told that he would probably have been back at Glasgow this year if he hadn’t intimated that he might not do Championship level?…….then it was too late when he made up his mind as the team build was already started. I, personally was/am disappointed that he never returned. Yes, he went off the boil a little at home but it was plain to see he was one who was going to progress massively.

Think his racing schedule was very heavy last season.Glasgow being a Friday probably didn’t help.Certainly seems more organised this season.Very difficult to schedule these days with all the Foreign Travel.Riding up a level this year.

Tom stated  that he'd never said anything about not doing Championship and doesn't know where the rumour came from?!

Think he took too long to make up his mind for Glasgow so a different route was taken.

Is he not worth waiting for then? Poole obviously think he is worth it as they changed two riders to fit him in. Sounds happy at Poole too...

Working with a professional club with great supporters makes doing the job way easier, so thanks to everyone for that. Back at home on Wednesday to keep the momentum going'
