King's Lynn v Ipswich 25/07/24

Recommended Posts

Well. What could of been a cracking meeting, with a good crowd and atmosphere, could turn out to be underwhelming for Lynn fans especially. I'm sure all the boys will give it their all, but we need a bloody miracle with our 3 top riders out.

Wishing Ben and Nicolai a speedy recovery, well as speedy as it can with their injuries. Not forgetting a special mention to our former No 1. Thanks for nothing Tobi.

No word from the club about Bens injury, I am wondering if Thursdays meeting will go ahead. We have already had a meeting postponed due to rider unavailability. I wouldn’t be surprised if Buster withdrew the Stars from the league.

I was told last night that the meeting was not taking place however, this was only from someone who volunteers on race day so it could just be a load of bull**** and not true.

Some say elbow, i read somewhere  else that it was a broken shoulder.. No doubt someone on here will be able to confirm.

Can’t understand why the club haven’t issued a statement about Basso. It seems to me that they can’t be bothered anymore, that’s why I fear the worst for the team continuing for the rest of the season.

I don't think Thursday will go ahead and it would seem Kings Lynn will pull out from the league with a view to operating in next years Championship

Even dropping into the championship won’t solve Kings Lynns problems, in my opinion there isn’t enough riders in this country to fill all the team places.

Only Birmingham not riding on Thursday

Only King's Lynn, Leicester and Ipswich not riding on Monday! So many fixtures to catch up on and so few dates available...

If Lynn pull out of the PL this season without fulfilling their fixtures, the same promotion should not be allowed to compete in the CL next season imo

If KL are blocking the Witches from using TM then I would hope they encourage the team to refuse any guest bookings...

Surely if the boy Musicylak is with-holding his services to Kings Lynn , he cannot be allowed just to sign up for another club in the same league ? Kings Lynn surely have a contract with the rider for the 2024 season ? If he is allowed to ride for another club surely there should be a transfer fee involved ?

For once I support the SCB  BSPA BSPL (or whatever they call themselves nowadays) in barring  Musicylak from riding in PL for anyone but Kings Lynn.

I see the non viable PL is now regularly exposed as the fixed race nights of only Monday and Thursday  racing, even with just 7 teams, just means fixture backlogs cannot be recovered.

Some years ago I proffered that cancelled meetings should not be re-run. Teams should  each be awarded  1 point. Clear incentive to home team to get fixture ON.

I never ever take a win for granted.  We have got our fingers burnt many time. Craven shield 1997 when Parker passed Rickardsson and Louis to win.

You are a wise man Racin Jason 72.   West Ham once travelled to  rivals  Wimbledon, missing 2 heat leaders. No one gave us a chance including the Wimbledon riders.

How wrong they were - even with just the one regular heat Leader Ken McKinlay we beat the dirty Dons :-) Arise  the new kid on the block Malcolm Simmons  - I am sure KL fans will remember Simmo :-)

Musicylak has already served his 28 day suspension and I don't believe King's Lynn own his contract. If the SCB don't issue any further sanction he should be free to ride.

There's a free Monday tomorrow night yet Lynn are not using it to fulfil any outstanding fixture!

1 point each for a postponed fixture is something I've been banging on about for years also.

Yet a team can drop a rider at any time with no notice and no financial liability

Qutting/withholding services carries a 28 day ban - once served he should be free to ride elsewhere

If not every dropped rider should be due a full seasons income for such a binding contract
