Edinburgh v Workington Championship 19th July 2024 7.30pm

If the account is genuinely his, and I believe it is, here`s Craig Cooks opinion on tonight's match.

He does himself no favours at times.

Due to the Microsoft issues we are missing 2 of our riders. Workington forced to use 2 NL guests. Workington did suggest a restating due to the situation out of their control. Tonight’s meeting is over already! Save your money.

I'm sure plenty share that view

Facebook is dangerous place to post things in heat of moment

It is what it is all fans want to see teams at full strength but speedway is a dangerous sport and riders get injured and also miss meetings for other reasons

Hard to run without a weekend team now and then

The guy does not like getting his own way! Worky wouldn't do it if it was the other way round imo.

That u dont know, the sport is dying as it is without  nights like tonight,i wish the juniors well all a good learning curve for them.

He’s more than welcome to pay for riders travel costs that have already travelled over plus stadium rent along with other costs that have already been put in place for this evening.

Celina missing makes no difference anyway, Watson as crazy as it sounds will have more of a chance of scoring, Vissing missing is a big miss.

Totally agree with that, Vissing is a miss, but Leibmann probably not. Can't cancel a match just for being "one rider down".

Comets should realise that Plymouth rocked up at Armadale this year, had to get Mason Watson to ride at #1 - - and won!

but plymouyh  had 6 other regular team members and edinburgh lost picko in his 2nd ride onwards . shame about tonight running  , but its in the best interest of speedway . monarchs lost out on a good few travelling fans and prob some home support as well .

To be honest can't blame Edinburgh

Also there no8 is listed tonight aswell Jim McGregor

Other teams would have went to bspa and got it called off

Very interesting to see how young Leyland handles it

Still long way for the lad to go but the improvement from last year is a big surprise

Oxford, Ipswich & Plymouth have had to race without their number ones. Can't see the BSPL allowing Workington to postpone a match due to missing a second string & a reserve.

Oh come on, if Poole were at Worky for example and missing Tom and Ben, you would call off would you? No chance imo. You'd be like 'let's go....'

You do realise he's getting paid full stop!!!!

Won't be for much longer if he keeps telling people to save their money!

If that's really him, he needs a fine for that "bringing the sport into disrepute". Not right to tell fans not to spend their money.

Why not encourage fans to go along & enjoy a good match, could still be some good racing between Cook & the top Monarchs, also when the Academy lads meet each other.
