Arch Stanton
https://ipswichwitches.co/raceday-preview-leicester-rowe-motor-oil-premiership-r2-a/ Nicholls in for Doyle no surprises there, but what IS a surprise and a good one from an Ipswich point of view, Dan Thompson isn’t yet ruled out which means the injury isn’t as bad as first feared. That is absolutely massive for our chances at the business end of the season.
FishersGate
Glad Scotty Nicholls is guesting, always glad to see him back at the den and will make this meeting even more interesting. This one is too close to call. Leaning towards an Witches win as they seem to love our track everytime they visit

Been a very heavy scorer. Nicholls has big boots to fill! Reading the preview, I’m not sure it’s wise risking Thompson either. He’s so important to our chances of winning silverware because he’s irreplaceable as a rising star. If he’s touch and go and this week might “be too soon” according to Hawkins, then it would be madness risking him.

4BenMoran
Ryan Douglas hurt his hand in Sweden tonight, says he needs stitches, hopefully the injury isn’t too bad and isn’t in a place that will stop him riding, if it does then has to be R/R with no guests sake level as him available

No point coming back 50% fit and aggravating his injury.

Whilst Fricke and Lawson will be fine for R/R, there is no way the reserves will take one of the rides, especially as three of your No.5’s heats are paired with a reserve anyway. MP78
Are Leicester committed to the lineup at this stage? Would make sense to shuffle the pack surely and if Douglas is out, put R/R at number

Unless Ipswich agree to the change in ride order

Use weakest option (Becker) in heat 4 as he meets a reserve, then use strongest option, once you know who that is, in heat 13.

Totally agree with you, yet often managers use r/r at 2 for the second heat leader. Waste of an extra ride for your number one to beat a RS imo.

Bash
I know Dan has been excellent for us at Leicester, but if he is not 100% fit he shouldn’t ride, plenty more meetings left. With the way Kenyan is riding and with Adam allowed to take a RR we should be able to cover Dan’s rides with no problem.
Arch Stanton
R/R for Dan Thompson. Not quite ready so not being risked. Sensible.
IainB
It'll be interesting to see if Becker can reproduce his SoN form on Thursday.

SteveLyric2
Sam Hagon had a big off at Poole last night and was in some discomfort when interviewed at the end of the meeting. He only managed 3+1. Edited July 18 by Skidder1
