Lewis Kerr got pretty much the biggest cheer of the night on Monday's parade. Why would one boo an opponent (unless they'd done something particularly dickish.)

Could hear the boo's for Scott last night after he got wrongly excluded in heat 15 when he came out for the super heat and it wasn't Scott who did the dickish move, even the commentator mentioned it

I was watching the live stream which was excellent. I learned how a clutch works and how to change the jetting in a carburettor which I found fascinating rather than hear they are making changes.
Heat 15 was run and it looked likely before the running that it would go to a superheat. Yet the choice of Oxford riders for the superheat seemed to be a surprise to the riders chosen as the were not ready or prepared. Plus the actual top scorer wasn’t involved in heat 15 or the superheat!!

excellent result for the witches and a incredible performance by Emil.

Genuine question - does Schroeck have complete authority over rider recruitment? Drew Kemp said his call to come to Oxford came from Jamie Courtney.

I'd imagine it's a bit of a joint effort. Peter Schroeck definitely has some influence - only reason Erik Riss is in the team and he has good relations with Ashton Boughen - but Jamie Courtney would have the final say.

Can't say I heard any boos for Scott. Any Oxford fan that did boo him needs their head examined!

Could hear it on the live stream.  He did have a conversation with Tungate after the crash but yeah, he shouldn't have been excluded and Oxford didn't deserve to get a point out of that.  Let's see if that's crucial when the playoff places have been decided :)

Anyone heard if Richie is paying for the phone he flung against the wall in anger haha that was my same feeling after hearing the exclusion. Red was poor last night. Anyone else thought it was a weird decision to bring back a possible heat advantage to Ipswich when Ashton impeded himself with his false start?! But when he moved in a previous heat they let it go and he won the race!

from oxfords website.

Heat 15 provided more drama. Riss led from Sayfutdinov, but Tungate and Nicholls collided on the third turn and both came down. Nicholls verbally berated Tungate in front of the Oxford supporters spectating on the fourth turn, and led to the unusual occurrence of Nicholls - skipper of the Oxford Cheetahs - being booed by the Cowley support.

Nicholls was deemed at fault by referee Christina Turnbull and was excluded, much to the annoyance of Witches' team manager Ritchie Hawkins.

Agreed - I have no idea how Christina Turnbull could have missed Boughen’s roller in heat 8 but bearing in mind her crazy decision to exclude Scott in heat 15 it probably wasn’t that surprising as she clearly wasn’t having a good night!
