Sheffield Tigers vs King’s Lynn Stars - Thursday 27th June - KO Cup Semifinal Leg 2

Pretty much the only match that could have saved our season, and it's gone up in flames.I'm getting fed up now with all the repetition that seems to happen at Lynn season after season.

Castagna now replaces Wojdylo… I retract my prediction of 55-35 and change it to 60-30, if we’re lucky

FFS. Two home meetings, Monday and Thursday. With only Brum not riding Monday and BV Thursday...

Why did the match not take place when it was in the fixture list?

Kings Lynn would probably have had more choice on that day and had a better chance (should have only been Ipswich and Birmingham racing).

BRITISH SPEEDWAY AGM STATEMENT

THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 17, 2022

And a significant development is a tie-up between the BSPL and MYLAPS which will see transponders rolled out to all Premiership and Championship clubs during the 2023 season.

This technology will provide accurate information for live timing, and assist in resolving close finishes, and will also be made available to Eurosport and the British Speedway Network for use during their broadcasts.

We're now in the 2nd half of 2024 and it appears that not all tracks are using them... although Picko had just indicated they are being used.

A very easy win for Sheffield in the end. Not much fight in the patched up KL side except from a fantastic Anders Rowe, heat 4 he did everything right to keep Woffy behind him. Kvech showed some class and looked better each race. NKI tried but couldn’t lay a glove on the tigers heatleaders. The guests cost them the final in the end all 3 were very poor.

Jack Holder on another level tonight, Woffy and Chris almost on that level. Great to see Kyle back to his old self, really come good last few weeks.

not sure why Pickering was so angry with Gilkes in heat 14, he’d been struggling for speed all night just needs to put it behind him and move on to the next

Another dominant home win for Sheffield.  We all know the Sheffield team has been built to carry the reserves with a firing 1-5, the cause for concern is Pickering, since returning from injury his form has dropped off and his average is going the same way (Woffinden not called him out yet though) where as Howarth on the up with his average with BP’s nudging ahead of Pickering now.  Pickering’s gating has hit worse and seems to have no speed to get past opponents home or away and his spat with Gilkes tonight was just childish due to poor gate and no speed.  I’d personally swap him and Howarth around for a few meetings to give him the number 2 berth, gives him the supposedly easier Ht8 with 2 rising stars and removes the pressure race if Ht14 if a close one.
