Kerr has been poor since returning from injury, while at reserve Riss should be doing much better, certainly not looking a good decision to bring him in for Klindt, still don't know why he was only given THREE matches, when Schroeck seems content with other riders underperforming. With Klindt, Kerr would have been at reserve, cant do anytime about him getting injured abroad though. When I looked at the Oxford team with the latest averages, I actually thought it looked really week. However as long as Leicester underperform, they are probably safe in the play-offs as Lynn & Brummies are quite far back.

No chance we finish 4th with this line up, scrambling over the line at home and regular 10-20 pt defeats away means no bonus points. I can see two home defeats next week against Sheffield and Ipswich, season over. It doesn't even need GP standard riders, experienced riders who have ridden here before like Thorsell/Lahti/Pawlicki/Woryna would be an improvement or go the other way with a youngster with a view to next season. Having had spare points for so long, it appears from the outside like a can't be bothered scenario, that's never really looked the case since our return to the sport. Maybe they are/have been looking, I'm not suggesting it's easy. Edited June 28 by Hilly grammar

SteveLyric2
With the SoN squads announced this morning, whats the latest on Adam Ellis' injury?
orion
I think you got to look at the cost of making the Oxford team strong .. The smart play is to try to stay in 4th then make changes near play off time. Not so expensive then and more riders available to choose from .

Ellis was never going to be in the team unless injuries to two other riders, so don't think his inclusion sheds any light on his injury status. Probably was included previously but only announced yesterday.

Not necessarily season over, if Leicester also lose at home to Ipswich & Sheffield, it's status quo (although I haven't checked who they still have to race). Agree with your second point, even if they are happy with their team, as soon as you have points available, why wouldn't you try to strengthen up? No changes allowed after 75% of league fixtures completed so can't leave it too long
