If you sit down to watch Eastenders at tea time, do you add the cost of your meal to the cost of the TV licence and then rant at the BBC? The cost of food is purely your choice. If I go up to Manchester on a Monday, I just throw a sandwich together. So I probably spend less on food that night than I would for dinner on a non-speedway night. £61 for a family ticket seems decent value to me. But you could always go on the NSS back straight with a family for £46. That's £11.50 each. Try and go to a football match for £11.50. (And I won't even mention the cost of going to see Taylor Swift sing a few songs at a distance of 200 yards). Sometimes Speedway supporters are just big whingers. Not really whingers, just want v.f.m and at this moment in time speedway doesn't really give that.look at the shambles of a meeting against the tigers the other week, and you'd want to pay all that money to see that? No,speedway just keeps shooting itself in the foot and the streaming of league meetings hasn't helped the situation.the 11.99 that bsn charges for streaming is about right and 15 quid should be the max charged for a speedway meeting.as mentioned dozens of times before, there is too much competition now for speedway to compete with and now, unless families have plenty of surplus money left at the end of the month and because of rising costs,it will be the last thing people will will want to part with their money for.take the s.o.n for example,65 quid to stand in the cheapest part of the stadium?..thanks but no thanks.ill watch it on the Tele for naff all. Some of you people are beyond control and belief, living in a surreal world. Stopped watching after debacle with Colts and Lion Cubs in first NJL match of season. Have seen so many posts about how bad its been at NSS and all self inflicted. But all you numpties just accept it and roll over, well jolly good for you. Crack on Most North West Counties League teams charge around £10 and with proper footballers, not your Premier League prima donnas

The largest demographic by a country mile is 50+, white, male, with the vast majority of them paying for themselves as they attend alone or, with a mate who also pays for themselves.. Which suggests a family ticket isn't such great value... Where the sport seriously shoots itself in the foot is its pricing structure... It is clear, as history shows, you are not going to significantly increase your attendance's by attracting new followers, therefore, make it cheaper and get those who do attend to attend more regularly... With the play offs, many fans now give certain meetings a miss when their team has clearly qualified, and, as we clearly see, TV meetings can decimate the attendance... Most top flight clubs seem to have around 2500 to 3000 "followers" who attend in varying degrees of regularity, with BH's and Play Offs, bringing many "out of the woodwork".. Get the pricing structure to attract around 2000 of then a night has to be the aim...

The problem with the whingers is that they still live in a past, surreal world where you could get the tram into town, buy three new suits, get blind drunk, go to the speedway, buy some bananas, go see George Formby at the Palace theatre, buy 4 stone of monkey nuts, and still have change out of a farthing. But some of us live in 2024. Great view on the back straight at Belle Vue, and £46 for a family ticket. Compare that with football. And I don't mean Manchester United and City. Try the lower leagues. e.g. Go to Burnley £45 for one person. Go to a concert instead? Next on at Co-Op Arena are "Pearl Jam". Cheapest tickets are £80.50 each. (It'll be even more for someone good). Oh, and it's £9.50 a pint. Quote look at the shambles of a meeting against the tigers the other week, and you'd want to pay all that money to see that? Look at that time when people paid a fortune to watch Wimbledon tennis, but it rained and they saw nothing and had to suffer Cliff Richard. Look at all those people who paid to see Nicki Minaj at Co-op but saw nothing because she was nicked for drugs. etc etc. One offs like this happen, especially with things like speedway, tennis, cricket which are dependent on weather. Of course if you're an old moaner, things are more expensive since we went decimal, but thankfully most of us live in the real world. But nobody's forcing you to go anywhere. I hear it's a lot warmer watching Barry Manilow at the Co-op. (But buy your Werthers Original at Home Bargains first). But his ticket prices may see the oldies off with a heart attack. So going to Burnley for £45 for 90 minutes equates to 50p/minute of entertainment (Possibly) Going to Co-op Arena for £80.50 for 120 minutes equates to 67p/minute of entertainment (Maybe) Food/drink not required, your previous post. Go to Belle Vue £24 South Stand for 15 minutes racing supplemented by tractor grading 9 minutes equates to £1/minute entertainment (That is being generous) Basically why do your shopping at Waitrose or Sainsburys when Lidl and Aldi offer cheaper and better alternatives? But Manilow gives people what they want. When he was at the Co-op he cleverly came up with ‘Have a Co-op, Co-op banana’. People felt a connection. Mind you, the following day he did the same thing in Aldi and people ignored him and just carried on shopping.

Yep. And the family of 4 going to Belle Vue @ £46 for 120 minutes = 9.5p per minute of entertainment. Glad to see we've finally worked out that Speedway gives great value.
