The Heathen 52 comment which included the '2 miles outside Dudley' comment is in relation to a site for Cradley.

Not sure what that's doing on this topic then? I'm confused 🫤

Tai touched on this in his talk in tonight in west Cumbria . Said got to wait till junction work is complete,  then application for speedway and other bike/motor sports will be put in, CVS Pete Adams and Tai involved

Could be a while then as the UK hasn't got a pot to p155 in! Maybe someone should start a crowd funding page for the junction 😂

Sounds like you don't want Wolves to return

I don't know how you've interpreted that from what I've written. I am a realist and I've read many a story down the years of what was going to happen and never materialised.

He did they have a place they could move into tomorrow except they need to wait until a motorway junction nearby is altered before they can get on with planning permission from council. Its a 21 acre site which will be used for multiple sports with Adams and CVS running the speedway and Tai in charge of the rest.

The necessary Road improvements are 2 or 3 years down the line before they begin and judging by the Junction 10 Improvements will probably take another 2 or 3 years to complete so don't hold your breath. That's before any planning starts.

Anyone remember Wolverhampton speedway ? Feels like it’s disappeared off the face of the planet, no updates from the promotion, total official silence, the odd snippit from woffinden and adams but that’s 5years + away if it ever got off the ground, I think it’s safe to say it’s never coming back unless a new ambitious promoter can be found who really wants it and that isn’t the current promotion, feel like another Cradley situation is happening

I’m not sure what there is to say if there is no update tho??

Then they should say there is no land available and there is no chance of wolves returning and if anyone else wants to take up the challenge to find some land then go for it, as it is at the moment there are wolves fans who still think we are coming back sooner than later, plenty of gossip going round about various locations but it is just gossip because the promotion have been silent

Haven't they already said land is available, just that other matters have to be considered and overcome before any progress can be made.
Equally, if they did say "no land available" then there is not a lot of options open for anyone else to "have a go" as, "no land available " means "no land available".
However, keep the faith as sometimes, where there is a will, there is a way, as per the eventual return of speedway to Leicester,  even though it took 28 years for it to happen!

I do hope somewhere can be found for Wolverhampton Speedway. I say this through gritted teeth as Wolves were partly responsible for the closing of my track, Sunderland 'Saints' back in 1964.

I do, however, wish them the best of luck in this day and age. Speedway needs clubs like Coventry, Swindon and Wolverhampton.

They haven’t officially said anything, the j11 talk was woffinden and adams gossip at their talk in, no land available means the council haven’t got any land to give them free of charge, doesn’t mean there isn’t land available, it is my belief that the desire from the current promotion isn’t there anymore and not for the first time in speedway we have a case of it’s my ball and if I can’t play with it then nobody else can, whatever the situation it needs an official statement stating where we are not total silence

If anyone can make it happen CVS will.

Heard all these stories many times before at many other tracks up and down the country, sadly sounds like bull to me 🐄💩

Yep, been there, done that with potential sites for a new track near Norwich. We found a great site in a gravel pit, a natural bowl which seemed ideal. Planning application turned down on road access, and not approved until a new large road junction was built. A few years down the line, the road junction was built, planning application turned down again! In the meantime they gave permission for a huge new retail park next to our proposed site with a big Sainsburys, The Range, Boots, Next and numerous other stores all exiting at the same junction which the planners said was not suitable for a Speedway stadium. Regular chaos and queues at the junction, so words fail me!
