Teromaafan
As piss poor as the Lions were, I’m not sure what the options are for replacements. As has been said on this thread, only Lawson can hold his head up. The Wolves riders have been a bitter disappointment, considering two of them were Lions previously. Even if (and that’s a big if) they could scrape into the play offs, the only teams that they have the slightest chance of beating over two legs, will not be in the play offs!

There aren't any replacements, it's probably as well to write this year off. Cook/Kemp and Thompson/Hagon were both just deckchair shuffling. The only change to make would involve taking a punt on an unknown Pole or similar and no way will Stewart do that, it also might not make any difference anyway. I didn't think I'd say this but I reckon we need a new no.1 next year.
1stbender
That’s some beating Leicester took tonight I wouldn’t be surprised if some changes are made now as Dickson isn’t shy in pulling the trigger. Who’s out there is anyones guess? But I’d be very surprise after last years drop off that he’d let it happen this year.
Hawk127
Well done the Witches. Remarkable really given that Jason is not on the scene but it shows what can be done with a balanced group of riders. The league needs every team and Leicester seem to have one or two who are not at the races but stick with it, the sport would be poorer if another team bit the dust. The UK is never going to match/compete with Poland and it is frustrating that the sport cannot drive its own destiny and instead hangs off the coat tails of Poland thinking that because one or two who ride in Poland are now over here means the sport is on the up. That is not the case and crowd levels tell a different story. Those in charge need to start thinking outside the box to reinvigorate the sport in this country and that includes promoting, not just managing teams.

With all due respect to the riders, I just don't think this Leicester team is very good. Seriously?!? I missed that... not a good day for Leicester at all!
Fromafar
You have to Question Fricke commitment to Leicester when you watch him in Poland and GPs.Must be on some sort of guarantee. He turns up though.

WembleyLion
Last night we saw the huge difference between a team of riders who were totally committed and are clearly going somewhere this season against another team who have no team spirit and contains some riders who don’t appear to be that interested and riding for their team means absolutely nothing to them. Dickson hasn’t been slow to make changes previously, albeit questionable in several cases but surely time is up for at least one of the top five with Becker the most likely candidate. So well done to the Witches who were excellent once again. If I were a Leicester fan though I would be hugely disappointed at what happened last night. I haven’t looked at the stats and may be wrong but I wonder if the three wolves riders had inflated averages due to monmore track advantage ? plus all three have the ability to pass at wolves where at Leicester even the very best and quicker riders struggle to do so. You could make that excuse for Becker maybe but the other two have plenty of experience of the Leicester track. ‘The very best and quicker riders ‘ have something in common, being prepared to attack the track and not beaten by its reputation. Most of the team rode like complete wobblers last night, especially in the early races, Cook, and all the best to him, he was having back spasms which must have been frightening looked like he'd never been on a speedway bike before in his first race! Attacking leicesters track is something I've heard alot from top riders coming to the den. Emil and Doyle love Leicesters track because they are brave with it.
GeneralMelchett
Witches becoming very strong at home although it seems Leicester were terrible apart form Lawson who is often / usually good at Foxhall. Nice to see almost a full Witches side too - good scores from Danny and Adam as well as Jordan and Keynan - in fact bumper pay night for them all - Thanks to Scott fvor another great showing. Last year Leicester made changes (and it backfired) will they do the same in 2024?
SPEEDY69
Updates said that Scott had a bike issue in heat one - he didn't, he was squeezed on the inside of turn one and went onto the centre green to avoid hitting Thompson. Not a re-run though because he went for that line which then wasn't there!

Arch Stanton
That heat 7 ride from Emil was fantastic . Took Masters right out to the fence allowing Rew to nip past on the inside to join him for a 5-1. Superb stuff.
