szkocjasid
Very odd team managing going in here. Hagon replaces Etheridge in heat 13 (after Jye had beaten Flint in his last ride). Then drops Hagon for Garrad in heat 14. Does that make sense to anyone? As Garrad wasn't replaced in heat 8, that would count as his mandatory 3rd ride, right? If not, you'd use Garrard in heat 13 & leave Hagon in 14 surely? Edited June 21 by szkocjasid
emilali
Dickson has got nearly every team decision wrong this season to be honest. Woeful as usual from Etheridge and Hume.

Ht8 wasn’t a programmed ride for Garrad he replaced Hume tape infringement don’t know if the means he needs another ride.

It's a situation I've not seen before, normally if you're not replaced after a 2 minute or tapes exclusion, it counts as a minimum ride. But as Garrad was brought in as a replacement, who knows? Dickson still got it terribly wrong though.

BacktrackBandit
Very poor management from Dickson again, for all the good he’s done at Berwick this season he’s made some very strange decisions, especially in recent weeks, and they haven’t paid off.

Hagon would have maximised his return in ht14 and likely won it IMO, he just got better as the night wore on. Putting him in ht13 was mental, he made a nuisance of himself initially letting Kerr build a lead but was never going to do anything against that standard of rider. He got zero points the same as Garrad would've. Its another Dickson spectacular and potentially cost his team an away win or at the very least gone into ht15 one point ahead. Gambo95
30 minutes ago, Catch Me If You Can said: Garrad had to ride heat 14 2 min bit x don't count mate So Garrad had to have 4 races? As others have said, Berwick only had 1 rider in heat 8 so surely that counts as a race for Garrad. Ace was replaced for Glasgow so that wouldn't count as a race and Danyon was replaced so that wouldn't count as a race for Berwick.

He is exposed at 3 in a very soft middle order and despite no lack of effort isnt improving at Ashfield. Still lacks speed into turn 3 which kills the gains he makes coming off the second bend. But as Garrad was brought in as a replacement, who knows? Dickson still got it terribly wrong though. Well, the rules aren't completely in agreement on this, just as they aren't on protected heats, because in both cases, the rule is stated twice, but differently. In this case, it says: Quote For the purposes of achieving the ‘minimum’ ride rule, ‘frustrated’ rides shall not count. But it also says: Quote A frustrated ride is one, whether programmed or not, including nomination as a TS, RR and IRR, which results in a disqualification for a starting offence, or for any reason, is unable to take part in a re-run and is replaced by another rider. If no replacement is made it is a compulsory ride and counts towards the minimum 3 ride rule. If a replacement is made it will not count towards the minimum 3 ride rule. Garrad's ride was not programmed (but the second mention of this rule says that's irrelevant, it resulted in disqualification, and he was not replaced. The rule does not specify this ride should be treated on account of the rider already replacing a disqualified rider. The second mention of the rule doesn't mention RS rides, so although it doesn't specifically include them, it also doesn't preclude them.
