Hoping to attend the rearranged  fixture, is there any danger of another rain off or is the weather looking OK up north

Hi

There were RUMOURS a few days ago that they might call this meeting off, due to the England match being on the same day at 5pm. We have tapes up normally at 3pm.  There is no sign yet, on any Comets media site that its going to be cancelled or an earlier start time, so I presume it will just be the normal 3pm start.

Current Met Office Forecast is 60% chance of a heavy shower, but Sunny Spells all afternoon too.

Having checked forecasts and being told on here weather is ok obviously Workington are not at full strength I know they can get an adequate guest for tate so why are they scared of racing against Plymouth.  You locals up there if you're honest know the weather is ok so what is going on?

Surely if that is the case then they will get points deducted like KL did?

Forecast looks okay on met office unless rain is very localised..

Their Facebook post says "due to the week’s bad weather we have received, as well as tomorrow’s forecast."

The postponement in question for Lynn was never about the weather though, it was announced by the club at the time that it was due to missing riders.

Forecast looks ok though. So really is it about going against the football then? The only other thing is not having a full team - like KL. But I'd be surprised if that is the reason tbh even if I am asking the question!

Sunny there today according to met office and only 40-50% chance of rain tomorrow and most of that is light rain.

If that is an early rain off call then no one will riding in Sept/Oct!!

Edit - my feeling is it is prob to do with the football, which is fair enough!

I'm abit surprised with the call off, given it's probably good drying weather.  However still not getting a good summer up here and had very heavy flash flooding where I am yesterday.

When there's about 10 other dates on a Sat/Sun this can be re-arranged to and the alcohol addicted folk wanting to go out and watch the footy it's not a surprise.

People wanting to watch football is not a reason to call a meeting off
