We’ll need the same from him on Thursday. What a nice lad Blodorn seems to be by the way.
siggysigalos
Ipswich on Thursday have Adam Ellis Returning (Allegedly) and the 2 guests booked as we speak are Chris Harris and Sam Masters. And Dan Thompson will be R/R The hunt for Doyley's replacement is still ongoing and Chris and Ritchie are working tirelessly to get this over the line, but no definite Yes yet. Wouldn't surprise me if 2 changes are made, but that's just my opinion. Great result last night, 2nd time I've been to Birmingham in a week, and have to say the hospitality was top draw on both occasions and a very friendly crowd. Interesting to see who the rider is left out for Freddie when he finally can ride sometime this month.

On the bottom bit, that decision might have already resolved itself with Worrall having health issues and depending on how long he might be out for. As for the Witches, thanks for the info Siggy, would be a big boost getting Ellis back and with King nearing a return, light at the end of a dark tunnel!

The problem wasn't about adapting, it was about the difference in surfaces? lots of grip one week and then slick as....the next. Yes set-ups play a big part, but if you cant gate and there's no dirt, you hardly have any chance of making an impact. Set the track up to the strengths of your team....B'ham's team need dirt and there was none!

Pawlicki as you say had three on the trot, and seemed to look worse after a bright start. Third in heat 12 then a last in heat 13. Not a huge shock he was pulled from having four on the trot. Nobody here knows what is said in the pits either, maybe Pawlicki didn’t want 4 on the trot and asked to be pulled? None of us know. In the past I have heard riders say they get tired taking a lot of rides in succession. The other thing to point out is Birmingham were 8 points up at heat 9 and Pawlicki featured in 3 of the next 4 heats - the only trick is could he have been used in heat 14? I assume so but maybe he said no. Edited June 4 by GeneralMelchett

Begs the question why that wasn’t done sooner. After the water went down Rew immediately found grip on the outside with a cracking ride in heat 12 and likewise Emil in 15 after he failed to gain any ground in two of his earlier heats when he missed the gate.

Anyway uppa Witches! A result I certainly wasn’t expecting. Still a job to be done but if we can get over the line, it gives us a great opportunity to get the team sorted and have a good crack at Sheffield in September to retain the trophy.

I'd presume that he'll be on some sort of fixed guarantee, possibly a sponsor is assisting. a valid point though

If it is Harris and Masters then i hope they perform better on Thurs then they did when they rode for Oxford and Leicester respectively on their visits to Foxhall so far this season, and hopefully Ellis is fully fit if he does make a return coz if not it could be a lot closer second leg

He’s historically been excellent around Foxhall in the past so let’s hope for a dry few days and we see the usual Foxhall form from him. Harris seems to have picked up a bit for Oxford as well lately.

You maybe correct on that as it seems nobody really knows all the rules and most change as the season goes on. I'm only relaying what I was told for Thursday, and I'm sure that's what was said about Dan Thompson, but to be fair I was taking in the fact we had Sam Masters in,so maybe I wasn't concentrating?? Can’t use a guest rising star either. Belle Vue, Oxford and Leicester not riding, but Ipswich can’t use Bailey, Boughen or Hagon. They have to use another rider on the rising star list who isn’t part of another team’s 1-7. That was the rule last year, dunno if that’s changed this. Must admit I wasn't sure but 11.4 is quite clear. One oddity is 5% enhancement for home guests is not available if using the guest option for an RS in top
