I thought these stock car meetings were always packed to the rafters Been to about 4 F1 stockcar meetings and 10 speedway meetings at Sheffield, in the last couple of years. The crowds have always been similar but there has always been more at the stockcar meetings, didn’t go to the play off final, which I would guess would be more than the average stockcar meeting
TTT
For a meeting that didn't promise much on paper, BSN viewers got to see some top draw moments tonight. Congrats to Jack on breaking the track record, Hope he continues his great form in the GP's as Zmarzlik needs to be pushed all the way this year. What a ride by Woffy in Heat 11, Worth the admission money alone.
KIRKYLANE
There were only 3 good races… the rest showed little entertainment with quality riders unable to gain ground on riders in front. i used to go to Sheffield around 8 times a year….simply because it was a great racing track….this is no longer the case and I then went once a year hoping to get back to Sheffield’s former glory as a real race track Watched a meting at Workington recently… super racing on a well prepared track and an absolute pleasure to see what a great track they have.
Manifesto
The track was obviously on point tonight Jack was absolutely flying in heat 13 but didn’t think he’d be near the TR. Ricky Ashworth’s record finally broken. it was a strange meeting in a way, there was a huge gulf in class with Woffy, Chris and Jack (apart from his second ride) against the Brummies, Howarth was on pace with Worrall, Cook, Sedgmen and Brennan. The reserves were all fairly poor, Edwards had his moments but faded when he’d got himself in a scoring position. i suspect it will either be Lampart or Sedgy to go in place of Lindgren. Worrall and Cook are good riders. Pawlicki has more to offer and will probably do better riding at number 3/
4BenMoran
Good win for Sheffield tonight, wonder how long they’ll continue with Gilkes though, looks to be going backwards week on week now? When Mulford replaced him last week looked better out of the starts and rode differing line when trying from behind, whereas Gilkes seems to ride same line each lap no matter what position he is in track. Can’t afford to be carrying in the Rising Star especially with Jason Edwards also on the learning curve

Wollyhat
My appologies to Bagpuss, as you say I missunderstood. It's just that sometimes at Sheffield we get fixtures move at late notice due to stadium unavailability.

Were any further details spoken about at the track last night about Monday's postponement?

Seems an odd stage of the meeting to set that kind of time and way ahead of all the other races.

Chris Holder won in under 60s and Steve Worrall got a fast time in heat 1. Holder was flying the bike was really pulling him out of the bends once wheels were in line even Woffy was well behind him
The Third Man
Hope they list two track records in the programme, one for the championship and one for the PL, that way Rickys name will stay in the programme

What happened to transponders? Edited May 31 by SPEEDY69
4BenMoran
The announcer said was recorded from the transponder as time given was to three decimal places
