Definitely seemed a bit lost being by himself tonight, at least with someone else you’ve got someone to bounce questions off etc. I know he gets grief for his commentary at times but fair play for doing it by himself I’d be bricking it if it was me haha.

Abi even praising him for his solo commentary as if last year never happened

Abi and Kelv on commentary with Scotty doing the presenting needs to happen.

One good race and the rest was follow my leader.

When quality racers struggle to pass then it just shows a track prepared for gating and entertainment goes out of the window.

Enjoyed the racing from Birmingham shown tonight in the track grade intervals.

When will promoters get in their heads that ENTERTAINMENT should be their priority

An air jacket lol

I know he used to, not sure if he still does? Looks similar to the protection Lee Complin used to use

That really depends on what entertains you, some are entertained by the racing some by winning.

Eurosport showed races from Brum all night then neglect to show heat 15 and the super heat, you can always rely on Eurosport to let you down. They really should have been at Brum tonight.

As for Leicester, as solid a display as it was, still only 1 rider returning double figures, when they come up against teams with 2 decent heat leaders they're going to continue to come unstuck in my opinion

For me the highlight was the cameraman concentrating on the serious gardening at the starts, whilst Chris just sits back and watches the nonsense, then he just nonchalantly tolls forward when the Marshall eventually calls them to the line, and off he goes and saved some wear and tear on his boots.  :)

The issue start Marshall’s have got is that you can call them forward but because there is now a clock riders will garden & then sit back until the clock hits 20 seconds then come forward knowing they won’t get excluded .

Just got back and watched some of the Eurosport coverage I have to say actually the TV production was better tonight than previous meetings .

The Camera angles looked better and racing kept in focus , I liked the aerial drone footage as well to give good beauty shots without disrupting like it is in the GPs

However as others have commented Speedway does need dual commentary for TV I know Louis was at Birmingham and Steady had been at Belle Vue all day but am sure they could have found a rider from another track Josh Pickering, Rory Schlein etc

Scott was there..

Should just have used him...

Watching it last night, it did really have no "Wow" factor in any way shape or form..

If I was someone watching in or around Leicester, there certainly wouldn't have been any feeling of "FOMO"...

Tedious follow the leader racing, fulfilling every "first out of the gate wins" cliché, with a crowd looking both sparse and "freezing" if those huddled together near the start line were reflective of the evening...

As someone previously mentioned, if this racing was in Poland, in front of 10,000 home fans screaming their heads off, you would watch and think "I need to be there"...

Not many watching will have had that same feeling last night...

Out of the three meetings yesterday, Birmingham seemed to offer up the best (only?) racing...

BHM's used to be a huge opportunity to sell your product in front of big crowds...

It certainly didnt look like there were any "big crowds" yesterday...
