THE DEAN MACHINE
Got to be honest didn’t think I was going to spending my bank holiday Monday watching people brushing dirt while a tractor goes round and round

I was always under the impression that the referee controls the meeting at the "advice" of the home promotion. So if they want a drawn out meeting to boost burger sales etc. That's what they get... who knows though? The ref is (Sheffield's) Dave Watters... back to the sin bin for him!

In normal circumstances there should be no more than 4 minutes between the end of one race and the start of tge next ( including the 2 minute time allowance). I don't think boosting burger sales is a reason for delay!

stevebrum
Disgrace Kurtz picking his meetings to ride in. Hopefully the Tigers will defend their advantage when racing resumes.
IainB
Another first! First time I've been to a match called off by the St John's Ambulance Brigade!
heathen52
All in the interests of Speedway, I doubt any first time spectator would be coming back to watch men brush dirt, why oh why do we bother ?, continually shooting ourselves in the foot.

hasta la vista
The only way these promotions will learn is to stop giving them money at the gate or for their sh*tty streams. Edited May 27 by hasta la vista

Same here never seen that before, it should be between the referee and captains, it was obvious she was getting her point across and Mark Lemon even said it on the microphone and now had to retract it in statement. IainB
This was a complete shambles from start to finish, from the late preview on the website to the non appearance of Kurtz and everything that happened at the stadium... worst event since opening night! NickB
All very odd, medical team could clearly be seen conference with referee and team mangers, Lemon makes an announcement citing Chief Medical Officer as reason for postponement and then has to retract...don't think we've heard the last of this. The very least fans deserve is a comprehensive and clear explanation of events Kudos to the BelleVue promotion for at least trying their level best to complete the meeting
Speedtiger
On me way home and thinking what a shambles. Sure can not help with the weather. Not sure who’s at fault but not a good day for BV management. No way to run a meeting and they wonder why crowds are dwindling fast. Puzzled by Lemons comments, most bizarre? He doesn’t seem to know what’s going on? As for the feeble ref well enough said. The only ones to come out with some credit is the BV track staff who really give it a good try.

Lots of things wrong about today, Kurtz not riding is not one of them. He was at the meeting with his foot in a boot with ligament damage.
