Such a shame some really bad injuries stopped his progression from there. All scored from reserve as that was the previous version of 'Rising Stars' but the riders stayed at reserve all year and faced 6 fellow reserves and just two second strings in their programmed rides.

Poole beat Belle Vue in a cracking Grand Final, top 4 of Poole, Coventry, Swindon, Belle Vue...also Lakeside and Wolves were in League of 8, with Leicester and Lynn. Only 3 left in top div.! Bojangles
Magic's not slow, he's clearly got pace. Problem is he's about two bikes lengths behind at the first bend each race. If he can sort out his starts, he'll be a bargain on his current average.
RedOx69
Oxford and the team are an enigma. The entertainment value is high but you never know what is going to happen next. With the exception of Tungate, no consistency, even within a meeting. Who would have bet on a 5-1 in 13 and 15 and a 1-5 in 14 last night. Oxford have points to play with and need to add another consistent heat leader if they want to challenge. The difficulty is who do you drop? You already have 8 riders for 7 places and every week someone different has an off night. You can not just win home meetings by a few points, especially in the play offs. 4BenMoran
He might have had a good night at Owlerton (how I don’t know) but I’d be brining Kerr back in for Cook, you know what you’re getting with Lewi week in week out where’s as Cook continues to be an enigma and with already having one of those in Janowski in the team you can’t have two of them. Is it true also that Wrocław have advised Janowski that he can’t make any changes to his kit from what he has in Poland i.e. it works in Poland make it work in UK? Heard from a mate who mechanics for a GP rider over in Poland that the other week Wrocław stopped him getting an engine looked at over here with a well established UK tuner and that they wanted him to us Kowalski direct in Poland only as that’s who they as a team have a relationship with. RedOx69
Oxford can think bigger than just swapping Kerr for Cook. If and a big If, there are heat leaders out there willing to ride in the UK, then swapping Cook or any of the second strings is an option. IainB
Surprised, not surprised, Lemo didn't go for Lidsey in 15. Surely you've got to put your big hitters in the crunch races.

Gate 4 had become dead towards the end of the meeting, and it felt like Lemon just put all his eggs in a Bewley basket off a good gate 2. Agreed, it was a bit of a dammed if you do dammed if you don't choice though, if Mountain had been in invincible form it would have been a no brainer to pick him, or a reserve with last heat decider experience. Surely he should have picked Lidsey, he's a pretty established rider now with experience of pressure on the world stage... of course if he'd trailed in last everybody would say he should have picked Mountain. ... and Lidsey is Australian, Lemo always picks the Aussie. It's not the first time Lemo has made a questionable decision and won't be the last Edited May 25 by iainb
