The Lions must and should be looking for a win here. They won’t have many better chances.

A loss here and I can see them missing the play offs with opportunities like this.

An away win here, would certainly be a massive boost to their play-off hopes

I'd hate to be Lions manager, you just don't know what you're going to get from any rider, meeting to meeting or race to race... except for Richard Lawson, Mr Dependable.

Piss poor performance from the captain again tonight, Hagon shows promise, I'll reserve judgement until I've seen him round BP though, he ain't going to turn this team around though, nor was he expected to. Kemp must be on borrowed time.

Schlein put himself in the shop window tonight, he wasn't that fast but I think it's the most aggressive I've ever seen him ride.

You just look at this team and you can't ever see the top 5 all having a good night altogether.  With struggling reserves you've got no chance.

Leicester should've made changes ages ago.

A side that just doesn't click on any night, Always seems to be at least one passenger in the 1-5 and it costs the Lions every time.

Kemp useless.

A much improved performance from Kyle tonight and we needed it to get us over the line.

Admirable mention to Schlein - dropped a point in his 3rd ride seemingly trying to team ride and then 2 brilliant rides to finish off his night.

C Holder is akin to having a third no.1 at home. As somebody near me said - he rides like a former world champ.

Tai finished a few in a different postcode, and then a couple where he struggled to get anywhere. Looked like he went through the tapes in purpose - trouble with his bike?

Great ride by Mulford to win a heat.

Fricke - what’s that about?? One heat win against a reserve and Tai off 15m is awful

Well Leicester may well rue that match - well done to the Tigers and very pleased to see better form for Kyle H

Wasn't there tonight but for those interested - gate 3 watch - 0 2' 1 1' 1 0 0 1 3 1 2' 2 3 2' 1 (heat winners were Holder snr and Tai). Again better scoring after heat 8!

I really rated this Lions side at the start of the season. They are all consistently inconsistent. Fricke a let down too.

I was thinking the exact same thing... bloody quick thinking if he did

Same here. I really thought their top 5 would be strong enough to carry the reserves.

With Sheffield missing riders, lost a chance of away points that other play-off rivals wouldn't be expecting to get.

It’s an amazing top 5. On paper.  They just haven’t gelled and Fricke is one of the worst number ones. Not quite as bad as Oxford or Birmingham tho but not far off.

How strange gate 3 is an absolute graveyard first half of a meeting the coin toss is very important.

Howarth got points needed but still not overly impressed, Schlein put himself about great guest booking. Edwards looked well in heat 2 then nowhere..

Woffy C Holder did their jobs very well and saw it through. Need Pickering back asap

Oh Pickering is a huge miss as at Owlerton he has the ability to beat the big hitters from the oppposition.

Re Howarth - his scores appear to have picked up for both Scunny and Sheffield in the last week so lets see!

Refreshing to see an injured rider turn up to support his team... a move a lot of other riders could learn from

Picko is hugely impressive as a "team" man and often comes across as he cares a hell of a lot more than a lot of his various team mates :t:

Tai Woffinden had a front puncture in the ht11, that’s why he purposely touched the tapes.  Quick thinking but unfortunately the track wasn’t conducive to overtaking last night, think Kyle Howarth made five passes (two in one race) that were after lap 1 bend 2 apart from that can’t really remember any others apart from that.

By the way great to see Kyle back on it last night, he’s tried absolutely everything to get his season on track including arranging a practice session on Tuesday this week to try get a set up working at Owlerton, by the way if there’s a video of ht15 with his battle with Lawson including the hairy moment off bend 4 into the home straight I’d love to see that
