Poole Pirates Vs Plymouth Gladiators Bsn now 24 th May

Recommended Posts

On Wednesday we take on the Gladiators at Wimborne Road and then at the Coluesium on Saturday in the Bsn trophy, to determine who wins the group.

The Gladiators have shown some  resileance in their last two meetings against Edinburgh and Berwick, with a result at Armadale and a fighting display at Shielfield Park on Saturday.

With two ex Pirates in thier ranks in Kyle Newman and Joe Thompson along with brother Dan, they will pose a threat. The closeness of the meeting for me will depending on how Ben Barker performs and Alfie Bowtell and Jacob Hook.

The Pirates will need to be on it like they were last Wednesday against the Comets.

Thoughts?

Depends what is happening at No1 for them? Skidder mentioned that Covatti might be back for them? Also a lot could depend on who wins the no6 battle between Sam and Joe as both could potentially have extra rides.

Looking forward to another speedway night at WINborne Road and getting behind the Pirates :t:

I see nothing else than a Pirates win and aggregate win to advance to the semi's.

The Gladiators can be difficult to shake off though but the boys are more on it from the start at home at the moment which is what we will need.

C'mon the Boyzzzz

Just cos you're crap at it doesn't make it a bad track. :D You should have seen it when it was a bumpy mess then, be thankful it not like that anymore. They always looking to improve it each season. All you can ask for.

If Nico is unscathed after tomorrow’s (Monday)  SGP qualifier at Abensburg (a meeting also featuring Tom Brennan) then there is no reason why he shouldn’t make his Gladiators debut on Wednesday.

Pirates to take this with a 56-34 win me reckons. Lawson to hit a max against his old team, well until he drank a flat white and realised being a Pirate would be far more fun! :D

He's now withdrawn from the meeting, So Maybe he isn't fit after all. Plymouth really need to sign someone else.

Like who?

TITANIC NEWS UPDATE:-

It has just been announced that after 112 years of the sinking of the cruise liner, undersea explorers were flabbergasted to find that the swimming pool onboard still contained water.

NOW HOW REMARKABLE IS THAT!

Typical.will he turn up on Wed though

I hope not. We as paying fans want to see competitive racing and Plymouth to put out the best lineup they can. Covatti returning at Poole would likely mean a very small points haul. Rather a guest who can at least put up a fight.

He was very poor, even when he got a second he was coasting round. I would caution against assuming he'll be fit for regular racing in the near future.

Yes but they are only going to be second string standard seeing as Plymouth can only use 75% of Covatti's average.

Connor Mountain scored 13+1 at Berwick for Plymouth on Saturday . Not bad for a 2nd string rider

His latest average is 5.55, so second string ;) Obviously likes Berwick!
