Bojangles
Thoughts on this one? Oxford still missing Alex Spooner, so will be weakened with Wayne Hutt riding again, but can only see an easy home win still. Ben Trigger has always been a bit hit and miss around Sandy Lane. Oxford Chargers: 1. Luke Killeen (C), 2. Wayne Hutt, 3. Jason Garrad, 4. Jacob Clouting, 5. Jody Scott, 6. Ashton Vale, 7. Senna Summers. Middlesbrough Tigers: 1. Jade Mudgway, 2. Ben Rathbone, 3. Danny Phillips (C), 4. Jamie Halder, 5. Ben Trigger, 6. William Hocaniuk, 7. Kai Ward. PotteringAround
Is a 40-year-old really the best unattached 3.00 junior that Oxford can find? Same applies to the 35-year-old at No1 for Middlesbrough.
BackInTheDHSS
I don't think Wayne Hutt is in the team for his points-scoring ability. More for the entertainment of the crowd! Oxford must be pretty confident for the win if they're using him again. 55-35.
Sings4Speedway
Those lineups sum up why the NDL has been reduced to a mockery. Nothing personal against Hutt but he simply lacks the ability to be either competitive or safe in a fixture of this level. The fact that Mudgeway has been quietly slid into the side in place of Mulford shows either cost cutting or more likely that Jake sees the NDL as nothing more than a nuisance. I feel for those who will end up paying good money for a very one sided match.

No reason he (and others similar) shouldn't be riding at this level to help with their progression. It's what the league is supposed to be designed for.

So sad when you think the standard of the NDL 5 /6 years ago, not so sure the likes of Brennen/Edwards/Flint etc would have got to where they are today if this had been the NDL standard when they were 15 year olds. In fact most matches aren't even up to the standard of the 2nd half junior matches at Arlington a few years ago and they were an extra 'free' tag on to a meeting. Wish I could be bothered to find your and my posts( if you still can) in about 2018/19, but we could see this happening back then and sure the way it went hastened the demise of the likes of Eastbourne and Kent ( and a few others) as well. They drastically lowered the points limit & put in restrictions in an attempt to turn it into more of a "development" league. However that's just a quick & easy option. As it means 30-40 year olds who've ridden for 10 years, but will never make it can ride, but a 17 year old who averages 4.01 in the Champ can't ride. However you have to be careful with age limits as age discrimination is illegal. A 60 year old could go for an apprenticeship interview in an office & has the same rights as a 17 year old school leaver. Personally I would've riders averages based on both points scored & experience (not age). I have no issues with Hutt & Mudgway riding, if a team has 6 developing riders, one old hand is hardly gonna stop their progress. Besides if there were better 15 year olds out there, I'm sure they'd be in the team. Finally, this is a one-off appearance by Mudgway as Mulford is racing on the continent & no guest is allowed.

There are definitely better 15-year-olds out there than Wayne Hutt (no offence Wayne).

Mulford is racing in Germany , Tigers not allowed a guest so Mudgway has agreed to step in for one match might want to get your facts together before spouting crap 4
