Worky did not get approval off Mr Godfrey and Co till mid November after the promoters conference,  by which time most teams were already signed up, as far as i know worky got no money off the people in charge, its a massive gamble for the promotion,  but so far so good. the management had to think out of the box to sign a team, hence 3 new riders to the uk, let's see how they go at Plymouth 2morrow,  hope you give the many travelling fans a warm welcome . UTC

And I hope your track is in a better condition than last week

You will definitely be made welcome,I'll buy you a beer if I can find you:cheers:

I welcome the inclusion of Workington in the championship, definitely seems to have a great track and set up,however they did not have to meet the same criteria as other clubs because with Birmingham moving up the championship needed the numbers, all the other tracks have floodlights which is one example of not meeting the criteria required by the other teams, I'm sure some of the more knowledgeable worky fans no the score, maybe they should have a word with the less informed supporters.

can you name ANY other track that runs at 3pm in the afternoon  that has NOT  got got floodlights or HAS  track lighting on in the afternoon  ?

We choose to run on Saturday afternoon as it suits the crowd ,we get loads of kids through the door and these are the future supporters of speedway. Also suits a lot of the away supporters they can be home mid evening,  no after midnight return home, How many kids go to Plymouth. ? Saturday/Sunday afternoons work in Poland, and other European countries,  why can't it work in the uk ? It seems to be working at worky :t:

mains electric is  a few hundred yards away , think its just the cost of getting it plumed in .   you have to walk before you can run .

but you more or less implied that worky had special treatment  and help to join the 2024 shampionship , funding from the bspa   and other stuff

we only need one big light to operate and everybody has it

andrew , steve and a good few workers/staff have worked many hours to get the northside track where it is today . a superb venue  and improving all the time ..

Unlike Workington Plymouth haven't had any favours from the bspl, especially financially and help from the chairman in putting a team together so instead of being so cocky and arrogant you should be alot more humble considering.

Could you please expand upon what financial help you believe Workington received from the speedway authority's and how the speedway chairman helped putting the team together? Very interesting comment..
