Sheffield vs Ipswich 13th May

Recommended Posts

Sheffield a 3 man team at home and a bit of back up from Pickering .. Howarth and the reserves woeful

Hopefully we can keep this close and go back to Foxhall maybe 6 or 8 down as this Sheffield side will get beat by far more at our place

Dan Thompson has come on in great style, good luck to the lad, nice to see some talent. Not a bad meeting either and both teams fighting for the result and overall an entertaining meeting. Just a shame you do not get the supporters that the likes of Poland get. Difficult to know what the sport needs to do in the UK to compete spectator wise.

I've just turned this meeting on as I forgot earlier, I'm only 10 minutes in and who is the is co commentator? He sounds like a nervous wreck! Kelvin Tatum is bang average as well

Can’t stand listening to Tatum, most boring voice on TV. Nigel Pearson carried the comms for years. Much prefer bsn coverage, everything about it just blows Eurosport out the water.

i quite fancy ipswich.  ellis will have a point to prove and i think rew and jenkins are a match for the sheffield reserves.  howarth seems to be having a lean spell as well.  much will depend on emil bringing his a game

good shout chun

Ipswich should be looking to keep this closer than previous years due to having stronger reserves. Rew has shown signs he’s finally adapting to British racing this year. He’s a rider that holds his own in Poland, has cleaned up at U21 level in Australia winning all the titles, and has had a reputation as a big talent for a couple of years now. He SHOULD be getting the better of both Sheffield reserves even on their own track. Even Jenkins posted better digits than both Sheffield reserves in both leagues last year. This is the area Ipswich have to target to be competitive here.

Just as expected. Ipswich look very very strong.
