It’s just a massive shame that this situation may indeed force Buster to pull the team out, sad state of affairs

Are you Laguta Racing Fan in disguise or summit, makes me wonder with all the nonsense you keep shouting, Chapman only has himself to blame by thinking he's bigger than the sport and keep postponing meetings when it suits him, whether it's make believe rain, rider availablity or a broken pit gate:blink:

He won’t want to lose the amount of money involved in doing so. And to be clear. Nothing is forcing him to do anything other than his own self centred actions.

I feel sorry for the Lynn fans to be honest. They’ve got to be embarrassed at this point. It’s their club and it’s being run like a circus.

What do you expect when the place is full of clowns

In which case Lynn really haven't got a leg to stand on, and why on earth was the original rained off fixture rearranged for that date?

A rained off fixture with no rain actually falling. Just because it was forecast. It’s getting a pussy sport.

The whole of British Speedway is in a precarious position right now. It really needs a billionaire to turn it around.

Nobody likes it but Buster is trying to make sure every meeting is profitable.

The cost of getting rider's over to be called off is expensive.

Pre-meeting preparation for a call off is expensive.

200-300 fans not turning up on grey days with the threat of being ripped off through forcing through 10 heats is expensive.

For a promoter to make a profit (paying away cost too) has to be guaranteed near perfect conditions.

Everyone hates it, but I don't blame Buster either for doing it.

I think you need to look deeper into why kings lynn are struggling to attract enough fans.
do you remember Brian Havelock running Redcar ? He had poor teams year on year with the same riders and apathy towards the fans. Crowds dropped further and further each year. Interesting enough though the club always made a profit.
then a new promotion with enthusiasm invested into the team and engaged with the fans.
crowds returned to see good entertaining racing on a well prepared track.
look how the Courtney’s run Berwick and Oxford. They too engage with the fans.
Buster is tired and fed up and it shows. It’s minimal effort and open the turnstiles and it’s a take it or leave it attitude and a complete contempt of his customers.
all lynns troubles are from the top and the owner.

Smack on. Not just an opinion, but a true fact

I’m guessing today we may find out as the SCB are meeting to decide on Lee complins future so presumably kings Lynns fate is decided.
im guessing a large fine which will be suspended providing no further dodgy rain offs.
so seen to be punishing but not actually.

Wednesday we had a statement re Lee Complin, yesterday we had a statement re Glasgow v Edinburgh but still no statement re Kings Lynn, I'm wondering if this is going to be brushed under the carpet

STATEMENT: KING’S LYNN SPEEDWAY

SATURDAY, MAY 18, 2024

Having already been under investigation for postponing a League fixture on the 4th May 2023, the Directors of the BSP Ltd reported the King’s Lynn club to the Speedway Control Bureau (SCB) for postponing the ROWE Motor Oil Premiership fixture on the 9th May 2024 stating the reason for the postponement was lack of rider availability.

The members of the SCB viewed the evidence given where the King’s Lynn team were missing two riders namely Tobiasz Musielak who is currently absence with a speedway injury and Patryk Wojdylo who was competing in a National Championship in Poland.

With the facilities available to the King’s Lynn team and three Premiership Teams not competing on the 9th May as well as a host of top-class Championship riders available the SCB supported the BSP Ltd Directors view that this fixture should have gone ahead.

Due to the actions of the King’s Lynn Promotion by postponing this fixture when facilities were available, and also already being under investigation due to the fixture being postponed in May 2023, this Breached the following SCB Regulation –

  • 017.2 Breach of Rules

f) Any proceedings or acts prejudicial to the interests of any part or body of the ACU, SCB, BSP Ltd or of the sport of motorcycling generally.

Due to this breach the King’s Lynn Club have been issued with the following penalty as per SCB Regulation 017.3 Penalties –

  • Point Penalty – The Removal of two (2) ROWE Motor Oil Premiership League Points.

No further comment from the SCB on this matter will be made.

Sometimes I think Buster acts like a two year old. This will have minimal effect on him but doe's more to damage the trust of his loyal fans.

To say calling off a meeting to save riders from traveling from another country is a poor excuse as the flights will already have been paid & without good reason a refund will not be given & a postponed meeting is far from good reason

What does "and also already being under investigation due to the fixture being postponed in May 2023" mean?

They received a suspended sentence over the 'Pit Gate' incident
