King’s Lynn Stars v Leicester Lions - Thursday 9th May

You questioned the importance. When Wojdylo has a near 8 average at home, as reserve, able to take 7 rides it's very very clear his importance.

No guest could cover that loss.

Stupid comparison. King's Lynn don't need Wojdylo to look after the opposition reserves. Wojdylo is needed to deal with opposition 2nd strings & heat leaders because the current middle order is appalling to deal with it themselves.

At home, while at reserve (which he currently won't be next month) Wojdylo is AAAAAAABSOLUUUUUUUUUUTELY MAAAAAAAAAAAASSIVELY important to King's Lynn winning their home meetings.

Surely you understand that, no???

Like he "dealt with" the Belle Vue  heat leaders and 2nd strings? He could only beat Bailey and Blodorn!

All the better to run the meeting then with a decent guest as opposed to him scoring 2 points again and he'll be back in the main body... do you understand that? Not to mention the small matter of following the regulations regarding meeting postponements! Which everybody seems to be forgetting

So who is available that would be better than Musie? Harris, Tungate, Brennan, nope none of them are better… and who is available that would be better than Wojdylo? Si Lambert, Riss, C.Cook, nope none of them would be better!

so your comment about fielding a stronger side is so wrong, way off the mark

Unfortunately whenever there is a rider missing for whatever reason, it should NEVER make the team stronger than it was before. This is where the UK speedway set up is so wrong in that it insists on making guests more appealing than ever before.

In which case Lynn really haven't got a leg to stand on, and why on earth was the original rained off fixture rearranged for that date?

I’m going to presume a massive oversight on Chapman’s behalf in that he’s only just realised the Poles are already booked in for that evening - which he’s now trying to backtrack and lie about to cover his own behind.

Wojdylo has had 1 exceptional meeting at home, he won’t do that every week, lambert could come in at reserve and get you 7 points. Then run r/r at number 1. If you get 8 from that then that’s an average return from musi, so yes Lynn could field an as good as if not better team than what they have and easily beat Leicester who have been very hit and miss so far !

This is exactly why we run sport isn't it... not what some fan/promoter thinks might happen

Cook and Riss not better than Wojdylo? Hahah what you been smoking

If you think Cook and Riss would score more at the Adrian Flux Arena than Patryk Wojdylo then you really are stupid

Patryk had new equipment for the last meeting, different to what he’s had for all of the other meetings… so who’s to say he can’t/won’t score double figures nearly every meeting at home now?

17+1 against the mighty Birmingham Brummies!

This just shows that the last few years Cookie and Riss have been absolutely PISH at King’s Lynn, thanks for cementing my point

Just wondering what happened to Busters son ? Is he still involved in the speedway, and how do the chapmans make their money away from speedway?

Don’t know if is son is still involved, but a variety of different income streams:

1. Owning the stadium and hosting stock cars/bangers which bring in significantly more money than speedway

2. owning the stadium and renting it out for track days

3. Construction / groundworks company

There might be others, but they are the main 3 I know of the top of my head

Buster does not run the stock car meetings, they are run by Trackstar who hire the stadium.

So Buster gets the hire money and the food/profit. And none of the gate money?

I am not privy to the exact financial details but he does not run the company who promote the car racing.

That’s why I said hosting and not running, as in using the venue to host the meeting. They may hire the stadium, but I’m sure he must receive a percentage of all gate revenue…

KL might have got beat using guests, which would be detrimental to the club..

And the sport is down to the die hards anyway who accept anything they are given, so they will always turn up..

And if some kind of protest existed from KL fans, or he got "punished" then Buster could just say "sack it, I will run just the (profitable) Stox"....

So. Good luck finding someone to take if over if he did..

Especially as he is the landlord....:D

Always a few who may get pushed too far.

Personally I lost some enthusiasm a few years ago when Eastbourne called off a match because of what was on television that night (a football match).

I still go to some speedway, but if it clashes with something else I like, speedway no longer always wins.

You questioned the importance. When Wojdylo has a near 8 average at home, as reserve, able to take 7 rides it's very very clear his importance.

No guest could cover that loss.

Cook (from his one top flight meeting this year) probably could.

Cook is decent at Owlerton though, the last 2 or 3 years his performances at the Adrian Flux have been rubbish
