Well done to both teams.

I am really confused as when Josh Pickering was racing for Edinburgh and he moved at the start (missed the start), the race was stopped and he was given a warning as it was the rule according to the referee.

Josh was moving last night and the referee let the race go and warned him after the race. How is this possible as we were told at the Edinburgh match that a new rule was introduced that didn't allow this to happen (didn't see it in the rulebook).

I also thought you couldn't have your back wheel spinning before the tapes go up but I am obviously wrong there as well.

Presumably cos when you are riding on a strip of concrete if you gate you win cos nobody can pass you and if you don't gate you don't win cos you can't pass anybody.Before they all come out and say what about Borke that was one race and he had the guts to try

The match is still a contest but it becomes about taking as many points as you can from the good gates, and scrambling for a few crumbs off the bad gates. The course of the match is pretty much pre-determined.

The narrative appears to be, on Friday and Saturday, that the home teams started well but Poole fought back. The true story is that the home teams started on the good gates and then had to cope with the bad gates. Individual riders are unlikely to score maximums because they are almost certain to be beaten out of the gate at least a couple of times. How the match would have been had gates been even, no-one can say.

It’s not how it should be, and I presume it is accidental, down to weather or other occurrences. It would be a truer test if the gates were even. In both matches the home team had the advantage of choosing in heat 15, Edinburgh taking the win and Berwick just failing to get a draw due to Lawson’s effort.

Great ride by Lawson and a good job Poole didnt pick 1 and 3 at the start!

Taking into account the “good” and “Bad “ gates if the track wasn’t super slick there would be more entertainment.Riding the “bags” seems to a reference these days ,is not  for everybody.
