Glasgow v Workington - league - 3 May @ 7.30pm

You feel like Worky missed an opportunity tonight, but well done Glasgow for pulling through despite Worrall's score.

Bomber like a fine wine!

Gutted to not come away with the points, but, might make a few people eat there words. Unlucky in heat 1 with cookie being thrown out and Tate’s bike packing in. Think we’ll be okay this season and not the wooden spooners like so many predicted. UTC!!

I must admit I didn't fancy Workington at the start of the season  but they were very impressive tonight

That was a huge win.

Well done, Chris Harris. Unbelievable. The talk was of an on-form Craig Cook and rightly so, but to absolutely smoke him on three occasions was incredible.

I said before the meeting that I hope to see Pearson, Flint and Starke make an impact, so I’m delighted to see two of the three do so.

I’ve no words for Worrall. That’s outright criminal from a heat leader. It was a disgrace of a performance.

Enjoyed it tonight but gave ourselves too much to do after being 8 points down after 2 heats. Expected the heat 2 result but rather unfortunate in Heat 1.

Felt like a constant back and forth with Glasgow having a strong pairing and then Comets having one.

Think Glasgow will improve and won’t get beat at home because they won’t hang about making changes. Worrall seems a shadow of his former self this season and Starke isn’t good enough to ride in the top 5 for a team like Glasgow.

Hopefully we’ve done enough to grab the aggregate bonus point next Saturday!

Heat 1 helped us enormously in the end but it shouldnt have been needed. Stevie needs to lose the single line mentality, a good bit of dirt for the racers tonight and he was lost, despite looking faster than those he was chasing in his middle two heats.

Decent meeting overall and excellent guest choice in Dan T who looks like he's moved up a level.

That was tough to take in the end, we riding with two reserves holding us back every week (sorry but it's true).

Ht1 decision to exclude Cook was an awful decision from the ref and Harris as well as he rode only got a max because of Tate's engine failure on 4th turn last lap.

Well done Comets very unlucky tonight.

Shocking from Worrall no excuses. Personally predicted the Workington team low due to having 3 inconsistent riders in the top 3 and weaker reserves but when they are going they look like a very good package, Dan Thomson was a great guest tonight.

Workington really impressed me even with us scraping home , on the exclusion going by the rules the ref got the decision correct but seriously it was as harsh as an exclusion you will see.

Most referees would probably have warned him nothing more, but we seriously need to up our game with the exception of Bomber, Pearson & Leon.

Phew, a wins a win n all that but really only due to bad luck/ decision in heat 1. I'll backpedal on criticism of Leon did well in his last 2 rides. But 5 points from worrall and Starkey is absolutely unacceptable. SOS to Ben on the cards? I heard janowski has a sub 8 converted prem average .

Not that you're panicking already! I was going to say with Steve you never know if he is going to get 6 or 13 on any given night. But 3!!!!!

If we were still in the Prem it would be agent Worrall by now and dropping average on purpose. But Championship section a bit more sensible! :t:

Stevie probably just had an off night. Let's be honest, we all have them. I once accidentally ran over several people with a forklift at my workplace and the fact that I was drunk and had stolen the vehicle from a nearby factory for a dare didn't exactly help my cause at the tribunal. I'm sure we'll see a much improved Stevie next week.

I think we're jumping on Worrall a bit too quickly. Before tonight, he had 24+3 in three completed meetings - exactly what we're looking for from him.

Starke is simply not good enough, and is in danger of being a reserve in June even if Lee isn't back on the bike.

Problem I see with Worrall, is he seems scared to pass, even when he made the start he messed up the first bend. Possibly tonight has his best equipment in Germany

I think it's doubly as galling seeing Tom's form this season in comparison. Whose to say that would be same if he'd stayed but just seems a few poor decisions this year. Tate's obviously another, taking gambles on guys like starke instead id rather take a chance on a young unknown.

Dan's performances in the big league this season have really impressed me. He certainly doesn't look out of place there.
